Genius is the best Oral-B electric toothbrush technology. Oral-B Genius

8000 is an intuitive brushing system that helps you brush like your

dentist recommends. The position detection technology helps you to brush

all areas of your mouth while Oral-B's round head does all the rest. It

removes up to 100 per cent more plaque compared to a regular manual

toothbrush for healthier gums and makes your smile whiter starting from

first day of brushing by removing surface stains. Not only this, but the

toothbrush helps you protect your delicate gums with the proprietary

SmartRing and pressure control technology that reduces brushing speed

and alerts you to be gentler if you brush too hard. With Oral-B Genius

8000, you can't go wrong in brushing. No wonder Oral-B is the #1

recommended brand by dentists worldwide. Oral-B Genius 8000 electric

rechargeable toothbrush is compatible with the following replacement

toothbrush heads: Cross Action, 3D White, Sensi Ultrathin, Sensitive

Clean, Precision Clean, Floss Action, Tri Zone, Dual Clean, Power Tip,

Ortho Care.

Oh wow I can pay 7 times more than the one I got for a tenner re other week.
At least it has Bluetooth Connectivity so I can get my phone to tell me time's up as opposed to dealing with the thing rattling in my mouth.
Is it me or are toothbrushes the new Christmas socks or Christmas shaver?
Merry crimbo everyone.

Ridiculous price for a toothbrush I have an electric one and they are good but this isn’t a good deal whatever way you look at it.

2 months ago I purchased a £10 oral B. Check back in 12 months and tell me you are gonna tell me this is a good deal.
My previous oral base lasted for 5 years and that cost a tenner

12 months time this will be cheaper because possibly a new toothbrush will be out
I’ve got the one up from this the 9000, I only use the basic setting feature and never used the blue tooth on it. You don’t need all the settings, just on and off will do.
My brother never brushes his teeth and has less fillings than me.

But at least my breath doesn't smell like dogs poo.

Shame the oscillate at about half the speed. Try a more expensive one then try going back to your £10 brush.

All the other features are a pain in the arse though. Apart from the bathroom phone mount. Weirdly useful and decent. But not at all mandatory for brushing your teeth.

You say that but my £120 Philips one failed after 14 months!

Same. Got the Genius 9000 for £84.99 on Amazon. It’s great, but I don’t use any of the features. I didn’t do the research, just bought the one with the highest model number, and I feel like a fool for it.

But does faster = better with respect to toothbrushes?

It definitely equals cleaner feeling teeth. Going back to a cheaper/slower brush they just feel dirty all the time.

It shouldn't be detrimental being faster, unless you press on it too hard.

As far as I am aware, all oral b toothbrushes clean in the same way at the same speed. It's the bells and whistles that people get sucked into which are in my view useful but not necessary.

Then you are not aware, as that is not true and you have already stated you have not tried nor want to try the more expensive brush. As I've already said, they do not oscialte at the same speed, though I agree about the bells and whistles.
