I've been keeping an eye on this on Amazon for a few days hoping it would drop to around the £30 mark ( from £34.99) it now has.

This is a very well reviewed toothbrush with a great battery life.

Not quite as good as the Superdrug 2900 deal I don't really need 2 brushes and I couldn't find local stock.

I was keeping an eye on this as well as I needed a replacement, however I ended up getting the twin pack from Amazon the other day as my other half all of a sudden decided she needed an electric toothbrush!
Anyhow, good deal. Heat added!
Excellent deal. It's been around this price recently on Amazon but goes back up to £35.

In my opinion this is actually the best value for money toothbrush in their whole range as it has all the features you actually need without the gimmicks of the more expensive toothbrushes further up the range.

These are terrible for the environment. They're unrecycleable because of the integrated battery and they wear out after 2-5 years. There's also no reason the battery should not be replaceable; it's just a cash grab by Braun a.k.a. planned obsolescence.

I think that you just described about every electric toothbrush on the market - I do agree with you though - companies should have a legal responsibility to ensure their products can be maintained past the life of a battery.
This is still available from Superdrug for £27.99, with free delivery if your a member

I do agree with you, however the device does last more than 5 years. I had my previous one longer than that but I made a point to charge only once battery was dead and as very tolerant of the shorter battery life as the battery degraded. I ended up replacing not only because of the battery but also because the rubber grip began to break down.

If you think this is an excellent deal you haven’t been checking the prices on here. This has been down to £20 in the past - I got two for less than £40 from Amazon, prices are not always shown on camelcamel.

Was that from the questionable marketplace seller folks were debating about?

It's very very rare to find at £20. Best bet is actually post Christmas clearance at Boots.

They have a legal responsibility to recycle (batteries at least) but that is dependent on lazy consumers returning them.
Dare I mention that this is one of the many rules the EU have introduced to our advantage?

The offer finished Saturday at midnight, but yes you did need have been a member to get an extra 20% off
Its a good toothbrush but I think the pressure sensor is a bit of a gimmick. I also agree with the comment above, its shameful that they don't provide a simple means for replacement batteries.
