Oral B Pro 650 electric toothbrush (black or pink) just £19.99 (rrp £50) at Savers

Following a visit to the hygienist I went on a search for their recommended Oral B 600 toothbrush (the lowest model with '3D' action, much better than the more basic brushes like the 'Vitality'). Generally the 600 model is £50 though often available reduced to £30 or so. However, Savers seem to have bought up a job lot of the 650 model (a 600 packaged with a 'free' tube of toothpaste) in black or pink. These were in their stores for £24.99 but I just noticed yesterday that they are now promoting them for £19.99, which is probably the best you'll find. Plenty of stock in Redditch yesterday and this deal is being promoted nationally. Nothing as cheap on ebay.

Having replaced a 'Vitality' model I can honestly say this is a much better toothbrush and the 3D action really does seem to work. Hygienist's good advice was that you don't need anything fancier as the (much) more expensive models just add gimmicks which don't add anything to the cleaning performance.

I still think this is quite a lot of money for a fairly simple device but they do seem to be the best on the market and you're unlikely to find them cheaper. Asda were clearing the 600 for £15 a few weeks back but they have long gone.

Savers' offer on brush heads is OK too but you can often find the larger packs (four or more) on good deals such as the recent half price one at Superdrug or search Amazon.

Thanks basil1234. You posted this before I'd even finished the listing!

Went hot, then cold. I'd genuinely like to know where I can get this at a better price as other family members want one. Can cold voters advise please?
£20 is about right for this toothbrush. I'd never pay more than that since this is the price you can get it for at many stores. They're usually £25 when not on sale (ignore the bloated RRP) so I guess it's still a good deal.
↑↑↑ As above (not knocking your deal in any way), but never ever pay full rrp for an electric toothbrush the prices are such a joke they make a dfs sale look legitimate!

Hmm. I've often seen them at a claimed 'half price' of £25 but £20 or less is not 'usual'. That includes ebay. Agree they are items you'd be a mug to pay full price for though.

Seem to be £24.98 when I do a search on their site.

Brush heads are good though at £7.99 for 4.

That's odd - it's usually online which is cheaper, or is this a local manager's deal?

I agree with that. I have the 5000 and I don't use the 3 other modes and I've given up using the Bluetooth app, which was a hassle and didn't really serve any real purpose.

Not sure but said deal of the week on the window, Oxford Street, London.

Picked up the savers one this morning for me mum
Picked a couple up at Arnold, Nottingham the other day for £19:99, with 75 ml free toothpaste not used yet ... opted for these after reading up on more expensive models and realising you pay a lot more for other modes and gimicks. Savers had lots of boxes out all empty sample ones though!.. they told me they were out of stock but found some in the store room. These are £50 still in other shops (over inflated rrp). B&m also have the same one for the same price if anyone is interested
