Think this is the one I have... the battery sucks and it’s incredibly loud. I wouldn’t recommend anymore, although it’s done me proud there are better options out there. I’m keeping the little times clock thing even when I replace the toothbrush, shame they ditched this on the newer models with better battery and replaced with a phone holder
NiMH battery

You are charging it till the light goes out, if not dons claim and oral b will change it. We have this and the black version, wife uses hers for well over the 2 minutes a time and gets about 5 days from hers I get about 8 days from mine, mine is 9 months old hers is a year after being replaced under guarantee.
I had this and sent it back, noticed no difference except a few irrelvant features to this from a £15 one.
I have the Pro 2000 N model and its fantastic. Not sure why you need a SMART toothbrush, order a coke from your toothbrush after youve finished brushing?
I have it and it's brilliant. Especially the timer that comes with it . It starts timing as soon as you start brushing.

Presumably you're counting the timer as an irrelevant feature? I find it really useful. Until I had one I could never be bothered to keep going for the full 2 minutes - it seems like an age for each 30 second sector. But with the timer you can see there's only another 10 seconds to go (or whatever) and it encourages you to keep going. As for the phone option on newer ones ... no thanks!
New models have a Li-ion battery. Anything with NI-MH is old stock.

Performance wise anything above the 2000 series you are only paying for features. So the 2000 is just as effective as the 6000.

Surely all Oral-B electric toothbrushes have a timer?

Yes, the £15 one vibrates every 30secs meaning you should move onto the next area, I don't see the point in paying £50 more for a bluetooth stopwatch.
Ok i thought i would miss the timer when i bought a philips to replace this one but after a week a forget about it and the philips turns off after 2 minutes anyway so no its not needed.

It takes about 20 hours to charge fully... joke! I do let it charge until the blue light is no more but it still lasts only a few days. I can’t travel for a week without the charger. Time for a new one I think

That’s why if you’re don’t charge it until the lights are off. It’s used the same technology for 20 odd years and yes things have moved on but no reason to waste money on a new one just charge it properly. It’s not as if the charger is heavy I travel a lot with work and it just comes with me.
This model is a pointless waste of money. Get the basic li-ion version.
