Orange Perks Discount - 20% off selected contracts

Found 3rd Aug 2013
Hello all

My wife has just purchased the iPhone 16GB for £29.99 and could have had discount off the following tariffs:-

Animal 41 - £41 p/m
Animal 36 - £36 p/m

She took the Animal 36 tariff, got 20% off bringing the tariff down to £28.80 p/m over a 24 month contact

For that she gets 600 mins unlimited texts, 1gb data and 2 swappable items which include unlimited music, sky sports mobile etc.

Seems a bargain to me when compatible pay monthly sim only tariffs are around £12-£14 per month meaning over 2 years the extra in tariff comes to around £380. Seems good value to me when it costs a lot more to buy the phone from Apple

You can do this with most phones.

See link for more info:-
'help.ee.co.uk/sys…ler?CONFIGURATION=1016&PARTITION_ID=1&secureFlag=false&TIMEZONE_OFFSET=&CMD=VIEW_ARTICLE&USERTYPE=1&ARTICLE_ID=56649'

Another link:-
'https://intranet.birmingham.ac.uk/hr/documents/public/benefits/EE-discount.pdf'

This is only available in store and must take a pay slip from the last 3 months.

Eligible employees did include:-
Eligible employees include police offices, local government officials, local council employees including all teaching staff, mod staff, including many other private companies including Microsoft, Fujitsu, rolls-royce, asda, morrisons (if your company used orange handsets it is likely they will be included, and many more

The discount was once 25% and is now at 20% but is better value that options offered from companies like Voice Mobile.

Did include up to 5 family and friends but you will need to check

Hope people find useful!

Thanks

For Orange and not EE contracts

24 months with 2 inflation price rises guaranteed this deal will be £35+ by the end of the contract.

Unlikely to go up several pounds per month during contract ...
Hasn't happened to my wife on her current contract

Just to advise that whilst the employer discount is only on given on orange contracts (not T mobile or 4g) and has been reduced to 20% from 25% if your already with orange and have a loyalty discount then at the of your contract you can get this transferred on upgrade to a 4g EE contract as I have done this today!!

I got a s4 with no upfront costs on a 4gee contract with unlimited calls / texts and 5gb of 4g data for £33 a month just by ringing up retentions.

I think you need to include more information in the title. Maybe the deal that your wife got.

its orange the price will go up if history is repeated mine went up from £26 to £28.60 so left after 24 months as retentions offer was so poor as wanted sim only contract.

How can we get sky sports swappable on iPhone ?

EE or what ever they wish to be called are a bunch of crooks.. Their executive office will lie their way out of 50p and just reply what you going to do when you prove them to be so. Terrible company!

Just to let you know some stores will say that perk has stopped it hasn't but its because each store has a maximum of 20% target for perk discounts and if they go above it the store manager gets a reduced bonus and they fail compliance measure

Vodafone FTW

Good detail.

I've been with orange so long I just get the general loyalty bonus of £5 off each month

Let me know if you find out! Not scorching (OK deal), but I suspect only cold because a lot of folks on here are self serving - not available to me means cold.

Voted hot & thanks for posting (I do wonder how many scorching deals people don't post because of this type of treatment).

Probably true, don't think it can be worse that three (with their selective records of calls). T-mobile seem to be hit & miss (sometimes ok to good, absolutely abysmal at others). What mobile network has good CS? Do any have UK only call centres?

I've personally always found Orange to be good and any issues I've had they have always dealt with them plus I've haggled for a decent discount the last 3 times I've renewed my contract with them.
