Please note - I accept NO responsibility for this SO YOU TRY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

You can unlock your phone by following these instructions properly. I have done and it DOES work!

Follow these simple instructions -

I have sometimes ended up in German Language but the phone was unlocked

How to change from German to English

Menu --> Settings (Last Icon - 3rd Row -- 3rd Column)--> Language ( 3rd Line ) --> Text Language(Line1 -- Change to English) & Input Mode (Line2 -- Change to English)

1. First do a CUSTOM reset: *2767*2878# (star 2767 star 2878 hash) and then turn off the phone.

2. Take out the battery and sim and put wrong network SIM and insert a HALF of it,ie half in and half out and slip the battery in behind it. This is important so it won't ask for network password and shows "Insert SIM" message.

3. Now put the battery ,and switch the phone on (phone shows "Insert SIM" message).

4. Without turning off the phone, push the sim fully in. At this stage the phone is still asking to "Insert SIM"

5. Make a FULL reset by typing: *2767*3855# (star 2767 star 3855 hash)

6. The phone should reboot working with "wrong" sim inside.

7. Make a Change the NCK password to 8 zeros by typing: *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
(star 7465625 star 638 star 8zeros star 8zeros hash)

8. Now Disable network lock By typing: #7465625*638*00000000# (hash 7465625 star 638 star 8zeros hash)

9. You can check the unlock has worked by typing this in *#7465625# (star hash 7465625 hash) This gives you a menu that you can scroll through.

The only thing I would add to the above clear instructions is in step 4, what you need to do is with the phone on carefully lift the battery at the SIM end ensuring that you do not break the electrical contact with the phone at the other end. This gives you the bit of room to get a small flat headed screwdriver under the battery to push the half in SIM fully in.

Also on step 6: my phone took about 10 seconds to go from the full reset confirmation message to starting a reboot, so be a little patient between steps, it does not reboot instantaneously.

could you tell me if the phone is still unlocked after the battery goes dead or phone is switched off? I tried a similar unlock on my samsung solid but it didnt work after the phone was switched off and I had to go through the unlock procedure each time.

You might want to put this in the title... which effectively doubles the price ;-)

This handset must be purchased with £10 airtime, this will automatically be added to your transaction in store.

if that happens it means the SP lock has not been de-activated,check with
*#7465625# after entering codes to ensure al locksl show as inactive

If SP is still showing as active phone needs another couple of codes to make unlock permanent so phone does not need to be kept powered on continually,

It varies if these extra codes are needed depending on model and network the phone is locked to

Tesco also selling this phone for £9.97, with no stipulation on credit, but unfortunately out of stock online. Probably have them in stock in the bigger Tesco's I would have thought

direct.tesco.com/q/R…spx

BTW the unlock code is a permanent one, doesn't need to be done everytime you switch it on and off!

Hi bristledog,
thanks for post, however i can't seem to get it to disable network lock.
Everything else works, just wondered if you had any ideas.
Thanks

The codes don't fully work on these phones,I tried it on one just to see, only the first 2 codes work to give you a temporary unlock, once you get to instruction 7 are you getting inputs don't match?

Yep,it'll not work any further then, you will have to just make do with the temporary unlock, once you power off you'll have to do the 1st two code parts again, only solution is to keep it switched on all the time, its not really worth paying to get it done properly in a shop

ASDA in store selling £10.00 includes free £5.00 Airtime voucher locked to Orange Network.

You need to register the SIM and Phone to get the £5.00 free airtime.

I bought one yesterday and I put my Virgin Sim in it following the above steps and works. The only problem is that the International call barring did not work after I put the Virgin SIM.

Thanks

Fails for me at step 7 - "inputs do not match".

Having searched the internet, you seem to be the only person in the world who has got this to work permanently on an e1120. What is your secret?

IT WONT CHANGE THE PASSWORD TO 8 ZEROS SO WHEN TRYING TO UNLOCK IT JUST SAYS 'WRONG PASSWORD'
