I've just signed up to Orchard by Tesco, whom based on your profile and Tesco Clubcard usage will allign you to a programme and send you additional vouchers and clubcard points to test and grade new products at Tesco.

Direct Link is orchard.tesco.com/

What are programmes — and how do I join one?

Based on your profile and survey answers, we'll find Tesco goodies you're sure to enjoy, then invite you to experience and share them as part of an Orchard programme. You'll receive invites via email and on your Orchard homepage.

Programme invites
How do we decide who gets invited?

While we wish we could invite everyone to everything, programmes must often be limited to a certain number of members. Here are the four main criteria we use to determine who gets invited to what:
What you buy:

Your Clubcard number provides us with helpful insight into what you buy and how you shop, which we use to invite you to programmes that are relevant to you.
Who you are:

Sometimes, certain programmes just aren't for certain people. For instance, we wouldn't invite you to a baby food programme if you don't have a baby, nor would we think men are a good fit for a women's hair dye.
Your interests:

We learn about the things you like through the surveys you take, and match you with the programmes we think you'll enjoy.

That's right. They vouchers haven't arrived yet.

I've been registered for a while and signed up for surveys. Completed a few but never actually received any of the samples promised. Emailed Tesco to tell them this and never received any reply, so it's a pretty pointless waste of time.

Is this England only? Not accepting my scottish post code.

No, I'm from Edinburgh and got signed up. You have to make sure your postcode is entered all in capitals.

Interesting (and I speak as a member) that although Tesco bang on and on about openness and honesty, if there's the slightest hint of criticism of Tesco you get this:

Your activity was rated: Rejected

and you find that you've been censored out. Nothing blasphemous, nothing remotely insensitive or unpleasant - just a minor criticism of a Tesco product.

And they wonder why customers are defecting to Aldi and Lidl!

You should join Tesco home panels instead! I get loads of products to trial.

Are you sure it wasn't rejected for one of the other reasons that they list?

https://orchard.tesco.com/pg/Programme-Activities

For example, if it was a tweet, it would be rejected for the following reasons:
Doesn’t include the #TriedItFree or #TriedForLess disclosure hashtag
Doesn’t mention Tesco and the product by name
Has been removed immediately after posting
Doesn’t include the #TescoColleague hashtag (for Tesco colleagues only)

Quite sure. It wasn't a tweet - a report of a conversation relating to Tesco and the product sampled. There was a slightly negative comment, so Tesco rejected it.

Basically, this scheme involves Tesco buying positive publicity from people for a few quid's worth of vouchers every so often. I'm really not that hard up that I'm prepared to lie for Tesco so that they can repair their damaged reputation.

In fact once I learned that that was how the scheme worked I lost any confidence I might have had in Tesco's ability to be straight about anything. And that wasn't much!

Been a member for a while. Recently stopped using tesco so didn't get to use the home voucher or the finest desserts. So don't think I'll get invited to the meat one.

Finest meat was before Christmas, for me anyway. At the moment is healthier options, like yogurts and other breakfast items - I have been accepted, but no vouchers yet as it's not live until 4th Feb.

Never had review or conversation rejected, but never got anything else but Good.
I liked fish and meat one, but will have to see about healthier options - feel rejection coming as I strongly object to use of artificial sweeteners and then branding food item healthier.

I've never had a campaign submission rejected and I have submitted negative submissions relating to Tesco products / availability etc and even some of them rated at exceptional, currently on 8.5 orchard score atm, also with Bzzagent which is basically the same and Tesco Home panels which I have just done a Deodorant trial for and a Tesco Value Toilet Block trial

Personally I would've contacted them for further info on why the submission was refused.

I did contact them - and got a woolly, fuzzy, evasive response which just skirted round the issue and didn't give a real answer. Tesco really is chancing its arm with this scheme once word gets round that the feedback is being tampered with.

its a good program i seen it a while ago and joined it, at christmas i entered the christmas gift programme, i got £5 off any chritmas item (gift sets, toys, christmas stuff) min spend £5 and 5 other £1 off vouchers

This looks just like Bzzagent (which Tesco bought out a while ago).

Worth joining

I registered for this over a year ago and have had nothing from them. I get an email asking me to complete a quick survey every few months but have not received any vouchers or anything!

I joined last week. got offered a place straight away on the fresh meat trial. received the vouchers today. £10 off any fresh meat. and 3 £2.50 friends and family vouchers. If I only ever get this one trial ill be more than happy with all that free meat.

got my £10 meat voucher today. the letter it came with said they had 3 for £10 deal on just now. also three £2.50 vouchers

Got mine today. I love Tesco!

Wonderful isn't it. A few measly money off vouchers and there are already people saying how wonderful Tesco is. Even though they censor what you say about them and consistently charge 30% more than Aldi and Lidl for inferior products.

The thing is Lidl/Aldi don't have a product tester site like Tesco (or do they and I have missed it?) plus not everyone one has a local Aldi or Lidl, I don't have one where I live and the closest are around the 15 miles away and I don't drive.

For me Tesco are great for the majority of things that I buy and are a massive improvement in comparison to my local Asda that's pretty much useless (this is for me personally not a generalization)
Tesco have a points card that converts to money off vouchers plus money off coupons for your groceries.

So its more publicity than testing..

I quit buzz as I don't like being told what to say on social media

It's nothing to do with testing - that's just the cover they use. It's entirely to do with getting people to talk up the Tesco brand to their friends, relatives and colleagues - and that's why they block anything vaguely negative.

Frankly, expecting people to waste their time bigging up Tesco for a £5 or £10 voucher is a bit rich. Some people will do it (though it takes a bit of time to do it the way they want it done) but once you realise the way this works it actually makes you think even less of Tesco and the way it operates. It actually accentuates the dishonest trading that Tesco have become known for in recent years, and heightens still further the contrast with companies like Aldi, Lidl and Waitrose.

I take your point about the travelling entirely. But as I've said above, this has nothing whatever to do with product testing. Aldi and Lidl don't need to manipulate and create publicity like this - their customers love them and don't need paying to promote them. Tesco struggle to get that sort of publicity (mainly because the prices are so much higher) and have to pay customers to provide it. I suspect it will backfire on them once the word gets out about the way they're manipulating the feedback.

ta op I personally hate tescos but love freebies!!

Got my vouchers today, hope they work with my clubcard as last time they didn't!

Was it the meat ones? I'm curious to see how much Tesco deliver. I'd like to prove earlier posters wrong about tesco's only requesting positive reviews. It would be a pointless exercise if Tesco ran a scheme like this and DIDNT take constructive criticism on board.

Fantastic Deal Adoyle1987. Thank you for bringing this to everyone's attention.
