The initial price is £11.99 but 30% is discounted at the checkout, this is very clear if you scroll down and look on the right hand side of the page

After buying 2 cheap hydrometers off eBay that read about 20% different I wanted a better quality one to monitor my bathroom humidity and the airing cupboard that is very damp. I found this on the Argos outlet with the 30% off it seemed a good price.

They range from £18 to £50 on the internet.

Argos are slim on the description so I grabbed this from Amazon.

Mine arrived today, I like it so a 2nd is on order. (now a 3rd)

Many thanks. Great price compared to other sellers. Bought 2. Great for remote monitoring of my greenhouse during winter and one for a present.

Not looked yet but I'm betting the sensors alone cost more than this so I may grab 2 more just to add sensors.

Thank you.

got it, thanks

Purchased - Thanks.

Good but do you get the outside sensor for the temperature.

One sensor included but you can use up to 5.

Thanks.

Thanks and just ordered.

I wonder why you cannot have it delivered to a local Argos...

Can it talk to a pc or the internet?

Only send letters

There may be a slight variation due to the % accuracy. If there is a major difference then probably faulty. Apparently you have to wait a few minutes to allow these type of devices to settle with there readings.

Thanks op

Purchased..... Thx

THANX ORDERED 2

Don't see a point for this apart from monitoring humidity levels. There is a room thermostat for inside temp and multiple phone apps for local or international weather. Am I missing a point?

Do i need this?

I made it clear why I wanted one, another member wanted to monitor his greenhouse. obviously you don't need one.

temp is bang on and 3% difference on the humidity between the indoor and outdoor. good enough.

ordered a 3rd just for the sensors now.

 no

From the Amazon reviews it would appear that there is a temperature and humidity sensor inside the display unit, so you shouldn't need to buy a second wireless sensor to get the outdoor and indoor values. One thing that was surprising is that it can't display indoor and outdoor values at the same time. You have to press a button to cycle which wouldn't be so convenient for me.

I hate this site! thanks OP I have ordered one lol Why be old fashioned and look out of my windows.

Where can you buy additional sensors, anyone knows?

Yes, but it only speaks Esperanto so not that useful.

You can set it to auto-loop between indoor and any external sensors. See manual here

On ebay but expect to pay £20+ each so probably wise to buy a couple of these clocks and use the sensor's from them.

backlit?

The ops description says it is. If that was your question.

This is so cheap I bought 3 to use the sensors, will be interesting to see if the base units can pair with all the sensors.

Thanks OP bought and voted hot. The external sensor on my old weather station broke and this is cheaper than trying to source a replacement sensor.

Hot, ordered two thanks op!

For people buying these to use the sensors on existing kits, unless they're the exact same or very similar model of sensor they probably wont work. I have the EW-92, RMR329P and SL-101 kits - all the sensors are different and, rather annoyingly they only work with the receiver they were supplied with and are not compatible with other base stations.

I've had an EW-92 kit for 7 years with the external sensor being outdoors for the same length of time and it's still working fine even down to temps as low as -14*c - batteries last over a year too.

All of my Oregon stuff is spot on when it comes to temperature readings except the RMR329P Projection alarm clock which reads 3*c higher than actual on the internal temp reading - this is due to the heat from the backlight and projection - other than that, if they're all lined up with their external sensors all the temps match inside and out.
