I last posted about this White Dial/Blue hands Bambino nearly two years ago when it was a bit more.
Code MANONTIME takes the FAC0009W0 to £83.
Btw, my favourite of the V2 Bambinos (£4 more with code) is the Cream dial version. Creation's picture doesn't do it justice - better pic here. I just think it looks...perfect.
Like this V4 Bambino too (£93 with code).
Bambinos Low-High here
However, what has also changed since I posted way back when is that the Royal Mail option is now £13.55. There's also Free Registered Airmail (hit or miss) and Free DHL (a no-no if you want to avoid Customs).
From the Orient website:
The new Bambino Version 2 sports the most antique-inspired look from the Bambino collection. Whereas the first and third versions drew inspiration from classic-contemporary and modern styling (respectively), the Version 2 pays homage to timepieces from the past.
It features modest Roman Numeral markers, thin hands, and a train track chapter ring. And since it is paired with an onion crown and a domed crystal it’s easy to forget that it is built in a modern size of 40.5mm.
The addition of a movement that can be hand-wound really drives the classic feeling of the watch.
Approximate Case Diameter: 40.50mm
Approximate Case Thickness: 11.80mm
Power Reserve:Approximately 40 hours
Crystal:Domed Mineral
Movement:(Though I see a few saying it's F6722 - 67 is the calibre number and 22 stands for the number of jewels: watchmandan.com/ori…htm )
Clasp:Buckle
Water Resistance:30m
Case Material:
Stainless Steel
Case Diameter:40.5mm without crown
Case Thickness:11.8mm
Dial Color:White
Bezel Material:
Calendar
Band Material
Lug Width:21mm

Yes. RM is best bet I think.
Watch itself is a steal for the price you pay. Would buy multiple, if only I had more wrists
Accurate time keeping? Looks nice
Actually, this watch is the one with the white dial. The cream one is FAC00009N0 and is currently listed at £93.
I know, I was referring to Louise Louise's reference to the cream dial, but I couldn't quote the comment, since it was in the original post.
To royal mail or to DHL?
Heat added.
Looking nice, any chance you have a link for watch strap?
Eg, ebay.co.uk/itm…908
Thanks, this is the strap;

Thanks, time keeping very good for an auto, never going to outperform a £10 quartz though.
Cheers!

Probably too bright blue for some - and some people don't like deployant clasps, so... ebay.co.uk/itm…783
Surprised that listing's still going, actually, as it's a year after I posted on WUS.
Needs to be 21mm. Not a bad price, but looks to be that glossier finish.
Just another blue option if anyone's looking. It's not glossy, though, definitely more matte (might be the way the sunlight's hitting it on the WUS thread photo).
But yeah, going 1mm out you can usually get away with it, but I'd rather buy the correct lug width (didn't notice this Bambino's lug width, actually). iqbal101 didn't mention which watch he was wanting a strap for.
I got this one, was thinking blue strap will go with this better, sorry didn't think about the lug width before

Damn, thought the whole point of Royal Mail was they were posting it to you from within the UK so no taxes
Did you pay extra for Royal Mail delivery from Creation, then got the Fee To Pay notification? It looks as though you're choosing Free Registered Airmail.
I had good luck with Free Registered Airmail but that's a gamble (my first Creation order - was the only post option available for that watch, for some reason).
*Obviously Warehouse is a bit of a gamble, but nearly all the watches I've bought from there have been excellent.

If Quartz is more your thing, this looks very like the Seiko Recraft line/Seiko 5 Speed Racers - Orient 50M WR Quartz SQC0U005F0 £58.08 (not Amazon Warehouse this time)

Yeah, swap it out.
I have two - a (curved ends) Michel Herbelin two tone bracelet - which I'm not sure will be too blingy or will fit. (Looks a bit like this - not my image and not the exact bracelet, btw)
I heard there was an awful lot of trouble with many alternatives so played it safe with the Strapcode - couldn't be happier, great bracelet and perfect looking with the Alpinist, imo.
Invicta bracelets fit too, apparently, though I'll edit this and add my WUS link about my search for Alpinist bracelets later.
Here's the link here
Edit: Got boyf to do it as I found it too cumbersome but managed to fit a Michel Herbelin bracelet to mine (cost £10, is very well made, has a good weight and was a bit of a wild card/gamble purchase).
An Invicta bracelet on a Sarb? Eww,
Here's my "wild card" Michel Herbelin (originally for the 12239/BT) £10 purchase - not a perfect fit at the curved ends, and needs adjusted to fit my wrist (think the links are the dreaded pins and collars - no arrows on the underside of the links, weirdly). I let boyf do the bracelet fitting (the springbars the seller sent were incredibly thin, the ones I have are too thick and didn't go in the "holes", ooer). Fiddly but got there in the end.
Slight jiggle room/gap, but not that noticeable
This is the one I'm interested in and for £93 it's a steal.
Did you receive yours ok? Any issues with customs?
Amazon probably better bet in hindsight
Orient Men's Analogue Japanese-Automatic Watch with Leather Strap FAC00009W0 amazon.co.uk/dp/…AK4
Had to pay royal mail £27 customs. This is the 2nd time with creation, so will use amazon in future where possible. Lovely watch though!
Urgh, such a pain! I'm tempted to ask boyf to try the (Cream Dial) Creation option/Free Registered Airmail but I bet it'll be my turn to get nabbed I keep sending him pictures of it but he's not biting.
Airmail next time
That's what I used, but they used royal mail anyway.
