About five months ago, I did a Deal for the Orient Automatic Charlene NR1Q005W Watch (50M WR)creationwatches.com/pro…tml which is still £69 at Creation and a great buy hotukdeals.com/dea…345

This Charlene variant NR1Q001W is a bit "blingier", has a Mother Of Pearl dial and Rose Gold accenting, arguably making it look more feminine. And the price has went down since I mentioned it back in November (was £84 then, now £78).

The NR1Q001W was $295 on their official site (now OOS): orientwatchusa.com/sho…-2/

This is a Seiko company, so the movements are quality.

Orient Watch is a brand name of the Seiko Epson Corporation used for the designs, manufacture and marketing of watches. Until April 2007, it was a wholly owned sub-subsidiary of the corporation known as the Orient Watch Company Limited.
I can't find any good UK retailers for this watch, which normally means cheap/rubbish market watches. Creation Watches is a foreign company (Singapore) and you will have to import/customs charges. They also don't have the best feedback for dealing with faulty watches or returns. Trust pilot gives them 3 stars.

And it's a pretty ugly watch.
Orient In house movements, good watches.

Creation are fine, I have ordered a few watches from them in the past and as long as they turn up without a hitch they are fine.

Although I know of issues with their customer service, you can read about them on watchuseek.

I'm surprised there isn't more knowledge of Orient by now - there's been a few threads about them on HUKD. They make fantastic watches for the money and are very well-respected on watch forums. Creation themselves have good rep but yes, I'm not sure about customs charges these days - customers from a year or so ago said they were fine but dunno if things have changed recently.

    That's subjective. And it's a women's watch.

Orient make good quality watches with their own in house movements, I have two. At one time you did not pay taxes on their watches you do now. If you were unlucky enough to get a faulty watch they had an history of charging people to return the watch, having said that I never heard of anyone on HUKd getting a faulty watch.

Of course it's subjective, any opinion on aesthetics will be. Also, I'm not sure why you've felt the need to mention gender (and make an assumption about mine). I am a man, but I have a wife who likes a nice watch (and I'm allowed an opinion, regardless of what is in my trousers).

I'm just saying it's a Womens' watch and most people who comment and post on HUKD (about watches, afaik) tend to be male. No need to put your "offended" head on.

You were the one who came out of nowhere and felt you had to share your (rather rude) opinion. And I don't mind constructive viewpoints, actually. Plenty of things I don't like the look of on here, but I don't feel moved enough to log in and let the world know?

HUKD is about sharing viewpoints. In what way is it rude to suggest that this product is rather ugly? It looks like a watch a man who doesn't want to wear an overly chunky watch would wear, albeit with the addition of crystals on the face. It's an awkward combination of styles that doesn't work very well. I'll leave it there, as I don't have anything further to add

    Thanks for your (additional) thoughts!

I think you can share your "viewpoints" without seeming flippant or rude - but hey, you obviously think it's okay to post in that style. Such is the internet. Kindness and tolerance are more my bag, but we obviously don't agree.

Not commonly sold in the UK. Orient make fantastic watches, its a great shame they don't have a bigger presence here yet. Anyone into watches will know all about Orient.
