I am not sure I understand the troll comment? Orient are owned by Seiko Epson and generally viewed HUKD as decent bang for your buck. That said, CS with Creation is generally accepted as lacking.

With DHL and FREE delivery, additional fees are pretty much guaranteed, namely VAT and Handling. However, it would be good to hear how you get on? Which country the package arrives from and the fees applied as detailed in the DHL invoice.

Isn’t that only a fiver less than buying from amazon?
I like Orient watches. I hate Creation Watches. Not a troll, more of an ogre.
I like watches too much but this doesn't do it for me.

So far I can't see one Troll comment?
You do indeed roll a dice buying grey/imported.

If there is an option to buy local do it,
but with Orient it's not an option.

Edit- I've never gone near Orient as it's a Saturation Diver or nothing and no model fit my needs.
Watches are a rocky road obsession, stay away.

From Amazon Global it’s a tad <£125.

That would make it cheaper to buy from amazon as DHL always attract VAT and charge an admin fee - About £30 - £35 of additional fees. I have stopped using creation as the frequency of customs (guaranteed to be payable with DHL) has risen massively. Nice watch and good price but not with the DHL option - amazon cheaper and with more back-up.

Purely from a CS perspective, I would not hesitate to choose the Amazon Global option over CW and DHL.

Then, with one eye on possibly reselling at a later date, with Amazon I have the reassurance of knowing I will get the OEM box and associated paperwork, not 100% guaranteed with CW, even with DHL.

Looks very familiar (see below) and I am sure there is another mob branding/selling the same watch. Seems like a lot of watch for the money given WR, Sapphire, Etc.

It’s the Citizen Promaster Diver Men’s Solar Powered Watch with Black Dial Analogue Display and Black Rubber Strap Bn0150-28E that was on offer that I put straight onto a Watchgecko mesh strap.

Only up to 500m but have a look at these. Divex are a dive company who have been providing dive services, equipment and personnel for many years. I remember when the 200m watch was £40 and I would opt for UK sources Divex over any Creation variant.

Divex Dive Watches
Just been stung by £20 for import / tax duty using Royal Mail ordering from Creation Watches - it was nearly the value of the watch so refused to pay it... so now have to wait and see what happens next... creation watches say its entirely my fault as it states about import duties in the T&C's.. I live and learn

If you paid using a card, you’re protected over £100, regardless of what Creation say. The fact is you’ve not received the goods so I’d imagine they’re legally bound to refund you under distance selling regulations. They may dispute postage costs, but will have to refund the cost of the purchase. For future purchases, if you’re after an Orient, just keep an eye on Amazon deals.

Thanks for the information, I paid using PayPal, on the card from the Royal Mail it says the item is returned to the sender after 21 days.

Even better, PayPal guarantee your money, so if the seller refuse a refund just open a case directly with PayPal and you should get every penny, it may take a couple of weeks though.

That’s always the danger with purchases from Creation sadly.

Did you pay to have the watch shipped Royal Mail? Or did you take the free Air Mail?

I will let you know the outcome - I think it does depend on when the Royal Mail posts it back to Creation because I will have to get some kind of proof that they have posted it back to make a claim with PayPal / Creation... I think I will need a great deal of luck, but will try & contact the Royal Mail before the 21 days are up.

The response from Creation -

We would like to inform you that if the shipment is returned back to
us the shipping and return shipping charges will be deducted from the
refund amount. And Singpost might still charge you for the duties and taxes
since the shipment has been cleared through customs already. So it is
better to accept the shipment.
Just dropped to £108.13 on Amazon if you’re worried about customs etc...next day delivery on Prime ...5 available at the moment
