That's not a Mako III, that's an Orient Kano, which arguably is 'lower' specced as it doesn't have a bezel lume pip.

38541138-r9okg.jpgNice watch, mine is a pepsi version.
      Not stupidly big either!
Tempted. Wife may not approve of me adding to the collection.
Nice, wish I could justify just one more watch
Sometimes I see bargains like this on here, and think:-
Maybe I could part with my Seiko STO turtle, which to be fair is probably way too big for my skinny wrist, get this and have change to spare.
Then I dig it out, set it (again),
& Think .....nah! No can do.

But the Turtle is big and in my opinion also a bit clunky.
The Mako looks great on a decent Bond Nato strap and also not too big.
Personally keep the Seiko and buy an Orient as an everyday watch but don't tell the wife!

Kinda did that already, with a Casio Duro / marlin.
It's not that much smaller tbh
Now looking at mini turtles / skx 013 I think I'm addicted

I have skinny wrists too and I wear mine happily.

One watch I have by Hammond & Co (Debenhams brand/made by Zeon) I'll probably give away as it's too big/too uncomfortable for me. Must admit that my Ladies' watches are more comfortable to wear.
      Orient,produce some nice peices,

They keep better time than Seikos IMO, I have 2x Orient 3 Stars and 2x Seiko 5's and after a couple of weeks on the watch winder both Seikos are 5-10 mins out and the Orients are only a minnute out.
Is this Eglobal Central site legit?, they don't seem to score very highly in the Trustpilot evaluation, seems to be a lot of tales of woe. They have some nice prices on a lot of Orient watches.
I've got the previous model of this watch (had 11 years now as I got it when I was 16) and it is still going. Great quality watches and very good looking one too!

Admittadly I also got one as a graduation gift for my best mate about a year ago (the model in the deal). =D

      Heat added.

never heard of this brand, what reason would someone buy this over say a Seiko? (genuinely interested)

Google Orient watches and educate yourself.

Yep more than likely will be landfill....... after 20 plus years use or maybe even longer.
I have this watch & an Orient Ray II aswell - great watches. Prices (& supply) fluctuate wildly on Amazon, sometimes you can pick one up for £99, other times the cheapest is twice that price. They don't get much cheaper than this deal though, especially delivered, but I prefer the Ray II myself. Regarding size, I don't have big wrists but these fit perfectly, can't stand huge divers watches.
Great watches, I got a Mako II USA a couple of years ago and very pleased. This seems like a good offer.
seems like a good deal! im stuck between this and a casio MDV106-1A for my husband (casio is half the price though haha)

If he's after a divers watch and not to bothered about whether it's an automatic or Quartz I'd buy him the Casio Duro you mentioned above.
I have both and love them but unless he's going to wear the Orient everyday it will need the time and date adjusting if unused for 2 days.
Something else to consider if it's a gift is the Orient packaging box is superb and really makes the product feel premium, the Casio is just normal budget packaging.

I've had an Orient for 13 years, put a new leather band on it and the damn thing looks brand new. Love their stuff, they punch well above their weight.

There's a couple of nice watches I would like as a gift and wouldn't be too bothered if they came in a cornflakes box
nice watch . i am after a black one but they dont have it. fantastic price though.

      This man speaks the truth.
The Casio is a perfectly good watch, you won't regret buying it if that's what your budget dictates.
And also, as Porsche 911turbo says, quartz is just less hassle if he's in the habit of changing watches frequently.
As a gift, to be worn daily, Orient is perhaps more "special"
One of the best budget automatics you can buy.

They are comparable brands; both Japanese, both use their own in house movements and both are owned by Epson. The Orient diver models can often be had for half the price of the comparable offerings from Seiko (SKX line and new Seiko 5 divers) and their Bambino dress watches are also excellent value.
      mineral crystal, looks cheap.

      mineral crystal, looks cheap.

Check all the reviews for this watch. They are made by a branch of Seiko, have Japan auto movements, and are definitely not cheap in the flesh.
Yes, they have mineral, not Sapphire, but jeez, how many new branded auto diver watchers are there out there with Sapphire for this price? Answer - None
Some people want something for nothing.

If you want Sapphire then the new Orient Kamaso (Mako III) is out now, but for sale at a premium at this point.
Having said that same shop has this at 'only' £185: eglobalcentraluk.com/ori…tml

At the end of the day, the Ops deal is a good one.
The only question I have is re duty/customs from this store. I assume this comes at this price without any extra duty on delivery?

There isn't even any any-glare on the sapphire crystal in the £185 version. Quite basic stuff.

      Jeez
......and I repeat - look at the price before you diss it.
How many good branded 200M auto divers out there are with sapphire - coated or uncoated at this price?
If you find one - let us all know.
Same question for this £102.99 (delivered) Mako 2 with Mineral.

Clearly you expect a Patek Philippe at Casio prices

      Don't buy it then.
      Either of them.
As I say if you find a similar spec'd (coated or uncoated) 200M Automatic diver from a respectable brand (Seiko owned in this case) for less than either of these watches (Mako 2 or 3/Kamasu) delivered then post it.
      You can't, because there aren't any - I've looked.
Otherwise I suggest you stick to whatever you are wearing, and reading with your coated specs.
