Didn't know that duty was being charged now, mind you I haven't ordered from Creation for over a year but have previously placed at least 10/12 orders with them over a 3/4 year period and never paid any duty.

I saw your deal for the Orient Mako 2, nice watch, I've got that Blue face on a dark brown Hirsch Liberty. 33295874-8FLJq.jpg

Shame they've started doing that even if it is the right thing to do.

How much would that add? Trying to compare to the price importing from Amazon US, where they include the import fee as part of the overall cost.
20% plus the handling fee (about £10). Some people recommend using the £6 Royal Mail delivery option for no tax.
I prefer the Mako II, though the Ray Raven is nice.

Ordered the Mako II a few days ago on Amazon US; £129 inclusive of import fees.
I have the Orient Ray I and love it.

Pictures don't do the colour justice.

I bought it from an ebay seller in July 2015 for a total of £122.04 ($184.88).

Breakdown as follows: £89.11 ($135) for the watch plus £32.93 ($49.88) for international delivery and import charges.

Just as information, customs are opening some items after an x-ray and estimating value. An acquaintance of mine had a watch opened that was marked a 15.00 U.S. dollars and customs 'estimated' the value at £160 and charged £32.00 duty.
Got stung myself to the tune of £40.00 recently. I think it's a clampdown.
I bought one of these a few weeks back from Creation for £102. And yes I had to pay £31 in customs fees before DHL would deliver it. The same watch was on Amazon UK recently (imported from the US) and they add the fees on top making the total £135, so not much savings there. Plus Amazon are better with regards to customer service and returns/refunds.
