Origin seems to have a Sale of 40% going on for 48 hours. It seems to be a good price at the moment, other than the Mexican Sites.

This isn't like the xbox market place where people where "stealing" the game for free from foreign places, I've actually paid for it at a price set by EA.

Regardless of if you have purchased the game, by using a VPN you are evading the taxes of the game which are set for your specific country hence purchasing it from Mexico and paying a lower price due to no taxes being applied. The UK wont say or do anything about it but alot and I don't mean a few hundred origin accounts get either the game removed or banned from purchasing via origin again for doing this. Not worth the risk if you have multiple games on your account for the sake of an extra 10a.

Fair play if you have done it multiple times and had no problem, but its not worth it for everyone.

Tax is charged on digital products in the country from which product is bought, so ea have charged the tax that applies to American/Mexican rates.
Now if I bought in the uk origin store, I still wouldn't be paying any uk tax as the product is sold/based is Switzerland.

So to round this up, the uk government haven't missed out on any tax, they weren't entitled to any.
The Swiss have missed out on tax, but not really as I wouldn't have bought at £27.
I still payed tax, just to the Americans.

Now fast forward till January 2015 and you have a different story, where tax will be applied to the country of purchase and not the country of sale.

I'm going by what was said by an Origin rep. Nothing more nothing less.

And I was just setting you right on the accusation of myself avoiding uk tax, when no uk tax was ever going to be paid no matter which origin store I bought from.

I couldn't care less about the tax's by all means pay less. Who likes paying tax ?

I'm thinking more along the lines of having the game removed and no refund or having the accound banned for buying it from that store.

Only twice, yesterday with titanfall and a month or so ago with the need for speed on the Sweden (I think) site.
