Brilliant games
Not a bad price at all Buzz. Heated
I have this already and its well worth this price. Early access to the next Command and Conquer game; is there one in the making?
anyone know If this is compatible with windows 10?
I have windows 10, they don't work for me

I bought this the other week and so far only tried the original Red Alert but that's running fine on my Win 10 Pro machine.
They made a huge mistake cancelling the Generals 2 Project. I was very much looking forward to it.
Nothing for Mac though

Most of them work fine once you apply TFD 1.04 patch

I got this deal the other week, surprisingly a lot of the older games work fine on Windows 10.

I've personally played the following on Windows 10:

Command & Conquer
Command & Conquer The Covert Operations
Command & Conquer Red Alert
Command & Conquer Red Alert Counterstrike
Command & Conquer Red Alert The Aftermath
Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun
Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun Firestorm
Command & Conquer Renegade

I couldn't get these to work on Windows 10, however if you Google it theirs apparently a patch to fix that.

Command & Conquer Red Alert 2
Command & Conquer Red Alert Yuri’s Revenge

Not tested by myself, however I never really enjoyed any of the games after Red Alert 2:

Command & Conquer Generals
Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour
Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars
Command & Conquer 3 Kane’s Wrath
Command & Conquer Red Alert 3
Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Uprising
Command & Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight
I've finally bit and bought this. I only ever played C&C (the original) and Red Alert back in the day, save for a game or two on Tib Sun before my brother returned it to the shop. Perhaps I'll eventually get up to speed on what came later. Though I realise I should stop at some point, being that EA ruined the franchise.

During an intense nostalgia trip a year or two ago, I found OpenRA. It's free. It's open source. It's constantly developed. And it's great.

You can play Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert and Dune 2000. Tiberian Sun, Red Alert 2, etc. will be along at some point. I consider it better than the originals as it's been re-balanced (to make more units and strats viable), as well as updated with things like parallel build queues, attack+move, etc. and anyone can have input into its future direction.

It's cross platform: whether on Windows, Mac, or any flavour of Linux, it will be a pain-free install. Also, it's FREE! Here is the link: http://www.openra.net/download

You can play by yourself, online with people from around the world, or over LAN.

Tiberian Dawn is where the real fight and best community is at.

thanks to those who answered my question! It's a cheap amount, I will buy it!
i have played tiberium sun but its really laggy and stutters all the time. running a i7 6700k, 16 gb, 1080 gpu.

does the patch fix that or should it be run in compatibility mode, if such a thing exists in windows anymore?
I got this specifically because the standalone Generals and Zero Hour wouldn't work on windows 10.

I can confirm every game works on windows 10 for me.
No issues on Windows 10 with C&C 3: Tiberium Wars / Kane’s Wrath.

Just some info on how to run and play online on modern operating systems -

CNC Net is a great resource for patching the older C&C games (up to Red Alert 2) plus Dune 2000 to work online. The first three games (C&C, Red Alert and Tiberian Sun) have all been released as freeware so the installers will give you the option of patching the Origin release or a CD version or can just download the whole game for you. You have the option of downloading the multiplayer component separately so there's no need to get the single player campaigns if you just want to play online. For Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge you'll need the games already installed (from Origin or CD) as they're not freeware.

The more recent games (Generals, C&C3, Red Alert 3) used to use GameSpy, which was shut down in May 2014. Fortunately the Revora Network stepped up to provide new multiplayer support using a launcher over at CNC Online.

Basically, every one of the games included here can be played with Windows 10. Some people will find that they just work after installing and some people will have issues - which I believe are mostly down to hardware conflicts, rather than Windows, so it all depends on your particular hardware specification rather than operating system - but there are patches out there that will solve everything for you. So it's not a case of does it work or not work, it's just a case of whether you need to patch or not - and considering you'll need the patches to play online you'll probably end up isntalling them anyway!

They keep saying there is but then it doesn't happen. C&C Generals 2 was announced, then it became a free-to-play game just called 'Command & Conquer' and then it got cancelled, so no idea what's happening now.
Wish these games were remastered for PS4. Especially renegade. That was so awesome until the cheats and hacks came along.
I'm only getting this to escape to the one place that hasn't been corrupted by capitalism, SPACE!
Great deal, I burned so many hours on RA & RA2 as a youth. I'm itching to do so again. Nice one

Check out 8-Bit Armies Collector's Edition for PS4 (coming out in September). It's a retro-style RTS game made by some ex-Westwood developers who made the original C&C games - it even has the same composer, so it feels very much like the original C&C and Red Alert. I've played it on PC and loved it.

Hahaha, good one EA.

Working fine in my rig. 5820K, 1080Ti.

Although I had to install a 3rd party patch to run at a higher resolution and prevent fast scrolling.
Can anyone direct me to where these third party patches can be downloaded from? Thanks in advanve

This is nothing to do with Windows 10, as I have windows 10, and it works PERFECTLY.
