Ha ha its not the first time Ive seen this but do agree it can be confusing. Thats why I started with that point in the description just to clarify first. What is even more confusing is that its actually better priced than on Uplay...? (cheeky)

Is this much better than the original

Beehj84

Thanks MrWeeWoo. Most appreciated for the responses :)

MrWeeWoo

There are mixed reports on using VPNs on Origin. Some people claim they have been buying with a VPN for years with no ban and others say they were banned after one or two purchases. If you google "buying from origin with a vpn" (or something similar) you'll find a few forums talking about the subject. The regional pricing for this game really is (poo)

Beehj84

Can we also just acknowledge how BS it is that the game is about £3 in the US store and £8.74 for the UK? We get completely nailed over here on things like this all the time.

Beehj84

Thanks for the reply. Do we know of anyone actually being banned for such? *Edit* - the AmazonUS route is a bust. Thinking I'll keep waiting. I want to have a copy of Battlefront 2 for testing and just to try out the maps and compare to the first, so I'm not looking to pay much. Will keep waiting.

I wouldn't pay anything more than a cold of quid for this boring shambolic graphical garbage. Ivan tolerate the cringy politically correct pandering, but the game is fundamentally abysmal.

MunkeYUK

I'm a fan of the series since ME 1 on X360. Pre-order every title (ME1 even twice on X360 then on PC). Andromeda is the weakest game of them all but does have some interesting things. On day one this game was a travesty. Buged to oblivion, poorly optimised and unplayable at later stages of the game. Multiplayer was dead in a month's time and the ending well... But after a year. Several patches, reworked animations, reworked dialogues and some (but very little) reworked voice lines this game is now playable and enjoyable. What the game does right: Combat is clearly the best in the series. Guns feel great, powers are cool and combat is very fluid. Profiles the new gimmick in this ME is good but when you find your best combo you will just stick to it and ignore the rest. Traveling with the Nomad is great. 10 times better then the Mako in ME1. You get around the planets fast and efficient. What the game lacks: Story is just full of plot holes and stupidity from both the main character and the Antagonist of the story. The main plot line is a copy of the ME1 story if you look closely. I personally don't have a problem with it but it's done so bare bones and without any new interesting twist. Companions are boring. Compared to does in ME2 or even ME1 it feels like a joke. You even start with the same NPC like in ME1 like for like. They don't have such interesting stories and background like in previous games. They are just here to serve and provide with some banter but that is it. AI is awful. I would say even worse then in ME1. Enemy NPC just bug out and stop shooting at you. Charge you face on like idiots without using any skills or cover. Your companions will bug mid animations and stop shooting or using skills. Enemies are just bullet sponges like in ME3 but sometimes to the point of absurd. Quests are a mixed bag. Some are good, couple are ok but the rest is just meh. Recycled fetch quests, clear this, kill this collect that. Even after all that this is an ok game. You will get your money's worth especially at this price but don't expect ME2 level of story telling, quest design and interesting NPC.

jocksteeluk

a very good game particularly at this price and for fans who are following on from the original games to see how the story continued, EA gave up on this far too quickly and there most certainly should have been several expansion as was he case with the previous versions but there is plenty in this one to keep you going and well worth the price!

jocksteeluk

A few extra skins and cosmetic items, some multiplayer boosters, not expensive at an extra £2 but better off saving that £2 and getting another bargain game.

miaomiaobaubau

is worth the other edition @ £2 extra?

frish

Personally I'm kind of glad. I've noticed media seems to try to favour SJW values. I'm not going to say that things aren't overblown, but I do think that more thought should be put into certain themes so that it actually fits rather than being forced into there for politics sake. Particularly when politics seems to get increasingly hostile and polarising. A lot of the time people get called racist or sexist when they just feel something hasn't been designed to fit well and just shoved in. I've seen people to be quite nitpicky about game features such as being against heavy character customisation for already created characters because it breaks their immersion. Still other people's opinions only help in giving a baseline and there are plenty of games people like that I have no interest in, and there are games people generally critique that I actually like.

MunkeYUK

Great price! Hot from me! Game is good, they fixed a lot from BF1. No loot boxes, no season pass, cosmetics to unlock or buy for in-game currency.

MrHuk

I love this game, it's sad to see it bombing.

Most of my games are on Steam, but I wont be playing the "current" versions of Fifa 18, or Battlefront 2, or Battlefield 1, or Mass Effect 3 in a few years, so for me it is amazing value for £20. Plus I rarely use the 10 hours of free trial games until the full versions come out. I've been a member for 2 years and wouldn't dream of quitting as I get full value for that. EA Access is a bit more questionable as there are far less games introduced, but good value if you do play the ones available.

Yes you can click the drop down menu to the rhs of the buy it now button and it should come up as buy as a gift option and a add to wish list option

zurich

Anyone know if there is a way to gift it to someone else?

sheps

sadly i cant get a direct link the way they work it as they try sell you the monthly pass too... so you have to click "get the game" and then it takes you to the monthly pass bit i mentioned and find the tiny "buy now" button with £8.74 under it ... then i promise it lets you choose and shows u what each comes with... when you do choose it offers you the bundle link i have made another post about which is a deal that I've no idea why it has been voted cold. If you do decide the basic is enough i recommend buying it via amazon.com for 4.99usd so 3 quid odd in our money.. there is a link on the group for that that explains how to set your account to usa for that purpose (just remember to change it back after) if i can help any further give me a shout.. im no expert but learning slowly haha edit it actually at the bottom of the page that tries sell you monthly/yearly pass thingy too.. never noticed that until now lol
