Still can't believe this was £100 at Argos a couple of months back
Typing on one now and it's great, it's just that the 7 was available at around £122 a week or 2 ago and I'd be looking at that. Paid about £160 a year ago for it.
Is a great smartphone and the specs are not bad at all for an older one.
I think xiaomi reduced the prices because huawei mate 30 is out now but the problem is android and i dont know how many they are happy without it.
Really? Maybe I'll bother eBaying the one in my drawer then. Definitely wouldn't still consider this a £100+ phone.
The redmi 7 is worth the extra I think from UK Sellee. If you factor possible customs in there's only around £20 difference potentially. With the weak pound currently there's not many bargains to be had like in previous years

My one year old RN5 has been going a bit wobbly of late. Auto-rotate is a bit of a hit & miss affair & can be very annoying. Sometimes it goes randomly haywire necessitating a reboot to fix things. Also battery life is nowhere near as good as it used to be. It still lasts a day but only just.

I want to try & keep it going for another year taking the view that I'm going to wait for a cheap Xiaomi 5G phone (the Redmi Note 13?).
I managed to grab the last one from a Scotland Argos store for under £100. And I must say it's great phone for its price. Battery life is really good if I be honest. Yes auto rotate I found is bit too sensitive specially when walking and trying to type. Other than than I would say a 4.9 out of 5 marking.

There was a post on here earlier this week where the redmi 7 was £155 from the UK xiaomi store, if this is £120+potential customs (£13 maybe?) brings it to £133, about £22 lower with no UK warranty either.

The inference is that it is likely to be around that level again. I wasn't suggesting you crack out the delorean. Smartar$€

Keep the change, yeh?.

Because from where I'm sitting, "it's just that the 7 was available at around £122 a week or 2 ago" is a VERY 'specific statement', yeh?.

So what you inferred/didn't infer, and/or whatever, clearly DIDN'T exactly translate across as well (from how I'm looking at it anyway).

And baring in mind that I'm NOT a mind-reader and all?, so ...

So yeh, a delorean may not be required (without a doubt), but mind reading skills on the otherhand, just might ... (if the way you're going out of your way to comment is anything to go by, anyway?).

so (again), with all the above considered, there appears to be a smart a$$ here alright, lol.

But it definately isn't me ...

Anyways, enjoy the rest of your evening - despite the totally pointless (and dare I also say unnecessary) comment by you, etc.

Later.
