Unless you're using VR which lets be honest is a big gimmicky flop that you won't use after the first week there is nothing wrong with a 1080p display across 5.5inches! I'm currently typing this on an iPhone 7 which has a meagre 326ppi and it's perfectly manageable over 4.7inches... this has 401ppi and will be perfect for 99% of users. I'd take the extra battery over unnecessary spec sheet d*ck measuring every day of the week when it comes to screen resolution.
1080p is fine... it's a 5.5" PHONE, not a 75" TV.

HS heat
I suppose this doesn't come with band 20 support?

Or I thought OnePlus managed to produce just the one model that works worldwide?

lets see if this takes off like other one ?
I have no facts, but I do feel that this Oneolus has not been a big success sales wise. I bet it will have a big price drop soon

I thought you were taking the p. until I googled that.
Had one since release... Great phone tho I don't recommend to all.. if you can handle a bit of lag or used to slower phones then the s8 is probably a better buy for the average person,
But it you want something with good battery butter smooth os near stock android that is a real alternative then I recommend.

Basically if your a nexus fan you will probably like the 5, if you don't know what that is just get a Samsung or a iPhone

Heat added as the cheapest it's been but as a massive fan of buying from China I have to say I personally wouldn't spend over 200 quid due to the no warranty issue. But i have to say this company seem to be copying Google's lead in getting away from the extreme bargains of previous models.

They'll need to put some artificial heat on this one too to get it anywhere near the other one.

They never dropped the 3 or 3t price (whilst they were the latest model) and sales have been very good
techradar.com/new…-3t

Very much doubt this will ever drop in price from oneplus or O2 direct
Hot because it’s the best deal but I think Oneplus has lost the plot
Loving mine. It's a bit underwhelming compared to the 3, but an excellent iteration with top flight specs at a reasonable price.
What about the jelly 'feature'?
interested in this but am concerned about the non standard o.s. based on Android

I am uneducated on these and for some reason think Nougat would be better ?

like what happens with updates etc...

In the last week I've had about 3/4 software updates mostly bug fixes and optimisations, Oxygen os is very lite modded version of Nougat probably better than stock Nougat

oh very nice... thanks for the info.

have you tried out YouTube videos and what is the audio like ?

also have you tried the GPS yet?

hope you don't mind the questions but I think I really want this phone
I would just be worried with the support ... will they support or give uk warranty and if anything goes wrong cane we get it sorted via the official manufacturers

Not worth the 80 quid saving considering the defective screens and their customer support.

My Nexus 6P has a 2560x1440 WQHD screen with 518ppi. My Honor 9 has a 1080x1920 HD screen with a 428ppi. There is not obvious or discernable difference in resolution when using them. I tend to use my 6P for watching things only because it's a bigger screen and amoled.

At 5-6 inches all 4k does is waste battery and hog resources. I'd happily take a1080 amoled display over a 4k LCD variant anyday.

Better to buy from Oneplus directly or O2 with UK customs duty and warranty included in the price
Thanks for the heads up - not that i'd buy from this source but a top specced 1080p phone is exactly what i've been searching for, hence looking at the 1+5.

That jelly scrolling issue is a killer for me, so back to searching.
If you're new to the site there are discount coupons as well so can get $30 off.

Pretty sure they ship from China though so you'll most likely be paying VAT and import tax and this won't be cheaper than going through O2.

I'm sorry to digress here a bit - don't know where else to ask. I'm traveling to far east soon and would like to buy a phone from there if I see a deal. what should I be looking for specifically in terms of compatibility in the UK. thanks.
Mine is showing £398.50....

I don't know... I would prefer to spend £80 more buying it in the official oneplus store. In my opinion those extra £80 are worth since you will receive the unit in 2 or 3 days, you can return the device within 15 days if you don't like it and you got manufacturer's warranty (and not gearbest **** warranty)
