would be surprised if for 5.99 you get a genuine samsung product

what he said. My also be half capacity or less.

If you want a genuine Samsung battery buy directly from Amazon. I've bought from 1st Mobile before, came with fake Samsung packaging, even though it was fulfilled by Amazon.

whys there no review of it

Thanks for the warning. I hope you reported the seller to amazon.

The description itself suggests its a fake.

"Samsung branded product" or "High quality replacement for the original" at no point does it say Genuine Samsung product.

Otherwise I would have snapped this up in a flash.

Does anyone know if a Note 2 battery will fit into an external charger for Galaxy S2 or S3 phone batteries? I have external chargers for both S2 and S3 batteries and would like to use one of them with the Note 2 battery if there's no size or compatibility issue.

The Note 2 battery is larger than the S3 battery so no, they won't fit.

Yes, emailed Amazon customer services telling them it was a fake and returned for a refund. Looks like I was ignored - their batteries are still fulfilled by Amazon.

I'm not convinced these are genuine. To be safe best to buy from Amazon directly (not FBA) or Samsung direct.

I'd suggest buying an Anker battery instead. Cheaper for this and IMO are better than stock.

Par for the course I'm afraid. They make too much money from Marketplace sellers flogging counterfeit goods to consider doing anything about it. The same applies to eBay and PlayTrade of course.

'cos it's a fake.

Agreed, Amazon don't care when you report fake goods. Can't believe the heat this has got when it looks fake to me.

I listed some headphones on amazon the other day and I've noticed how hard it is to describe your item when there are so many fakes about. The more I stress it's genuine, the less believable it is. So I have sympathy with sellers like this.

On another note, wouldn't some non-Samsung batteries be better than the original. Unbranded was better when I replaced the batteries in my laptops and printers.

except its fake.
And no - never buy fake unbranded li-ion batteries, at best they're filled to half capacity or faulty. At worst...well...they're neither regulated or tested, and you've seen how bad the tested and regulated ones can be sometimes (cough...dell recall..cough)

The Anker ones seem at least as good as the originals - quite surprised. Plus if you get an Anker battery you can also get 30% off this car charger (see code on Amazon) amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1 Note not all chargers are equal and this one will charge your phone as fast (nearly) as a mains charger.

Another option is a Samsung battery and desk charger. Note the stand feature is just a stand, it only charges the one battery, not the one in the phone as well. amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1 Again buy only direct from Amazon to make sure you don't get any fakes.
