This "electronic organ in your pocket" was all the rage back in the 70s (3 million were sold apparently), and thanks to Rolf Harris's (over) enthusiastic ad campaign, most of us assumed the beardy paint-chucker had actually invented it. He didn't, but he should have because the Stylophone was as inexplicably enthralling as Rolf himself!

The classic Stylophone has now been sympathetically reproduced, with the original design in mind - down to the packaging! The stylophone retains all the original sounds and features of the 1969 model, but with added up-to-date technology, making it even more fun to make your own music!

Even though it was supposed to be a kid's toy, it has fascinated generations of musicians, and artists who have used a stylophone include David Bowie, Kraftwerk, Pulp, Belle & Sebastian, and even Marilyn Manson!!! Not to mention Rolf Harris.

Features:
The new Stylophone combines original features with new sounds and up to date technology. The original retro styling is also used for the accompanying booklet which incorporates songs to play along to. This will appeal to old and young music maestros alike!

Original Features:
Vibrato
Hand tuning
Headphone socket

Additional Features:
Volume Control
MP3 function - play along to any music - includes 2 way adaptor
2 new exclusive Stylophone sounds, as well as the classic original

Sadly, I have an original one of these I've had since I was a kid!

I remember being a kid and these things being state of the art must have things back then, but then so was an Etch A Sketch and Play Doh. What do you do with one of these in the year 2008?

I don't want an "original Stylophone" that was just as rubbish as they were 35 years ago, I want a touch screen one can store videos and MP3's. Damn it, I want an Apple itouch!

I tried using the 15% off voucher but you need the Voucher code and a Voucher PIN (which seems a bit pointless to me). Does anyone know what the PIN is?

I just entered HSBC15

I got one of these for Xmas and they are great. Between the pitch control, the tremelo switch and the 3 different synth types you can get a bucket load of sounds out of this thing. Hours of fun.

I hope its in good condition might be worth something in years to come...

...then again if there were 3 million sold...:whistling:

This post has made me all nostalgic and a little sad - my grandma had one and used to terrify us kids with it back in the 70's
