Had mine 2 and a half years now, used pretty much daily and never had a problem with it
had mine 2 years and had the port changed twice. all under warranty though.

very slow tablet now by comparison to other deals.
I'm on the hunt for a cheap Windows 8inch tablet to take traveling. Happy to look into used units. Any suggestions?

It's ok, I still have my original Hudl.

Browsing, email, YouTube is great and I can watch it on the tv using wifi or a hdmi cable (mini to full).

I don't shop with it as it has not received updates for a long time! Tesco do not support it but you do get app updates.

Cheap but I would use the money towards a new tablet personally.
I love mine for showbox etc
a very old tablet.
no thanks.
lot more have been released since then

To be fair the charging port is as robust as the majority of tablets out there - it has the advantage of being on a separate board and can be swapped out instead of repairing the whole board as is the case with the majority of 7" tablets

Agreed - also Tesco have officially abandoned it (and the Hudl 2) so it doesn't look like there will be any OS updates for it. Personally I would buy it over anything else in this price range as you will struggle to find a better specified 7" tablet, the OS updates aren't a show stopper, the Google store & Amazon underground work fine, in fact I haven't found an app that fails to run on this yet! Yes there are issues with it - the cameras suck, personally I don't care as I don't bother with them, the wireless connection range seems limited, but in the same league as other units. People complain about repair services and spares for this unit, but I challenge you to find any support for any out of warranty tablet. I use eBay a lot when it comes to finding parts and these units can be picked up cheaper on there, however they inevitably have some fault (mainly a smashed screen!)...
For £10 more I think I would go for the kindle fire similar spec but 12 months warranty this one has 30 days and Google playstore is easy to put on it and also os updates
