There is no difference between the Chinese & International version watched. The only difference is the Chinese version comes with Chinese instructions, the International version comes with English instructions

coming up as £17.30 or $22.99 for me for some reason ?
And 3% quidco
It says this is the Chinese version, I bought the kids one for Xmas and they have the global versions which work fine. Not sure how much of an issue it not being global would be?

Voted hot btw! Genuine question re the version, I'm looking to order my Dad one as they are fab. 😊

I can’t seem to get it for this price. Is there a code?
What's the difference with the Chinese version?
As far as I'm aware the only difference is the Chinese manual.

And the Chinese one connects to servers in China. The global one connects to servers outside China, and some say the firmware is more stable. That said, mine is the Chinese version and it's fine.

Tbh the kids will have to set my Dad's up anyway because he wouldn't be able to understand the instructions even if they were in English

Thanks for the replies on this. Have ordered one, cheers OP!

My son already has the Chinese version, and it works perfectly. Apparently the Chinese version is Bluetooth 4.0 and the global version is 4.2, but I don't think this makes a material difference.

I've heard people post about different servers, but I'm not convinced... it's a watch that connects directly to your phone via BT, I'm not convinced it connects to any Xaiomi server!

Images with fingerprint... not seen that before, certainly not from from Xiaomi. Too good to be true...

What's the difference with the Chinese version?

Is there * really * no difference between the two? I got a deal at Christmas on the international one (albeit it did come with Chinese instructions anyway) but have held off buying the cheaper Chinese one as it's unclear on the difference.
Got mine for 11 quid over Christmas and I love it. Battery lasts for about 14 days.

I'm equally unconvinced by this talk of different servers. I've had one of these for about 14 months now and love it. It was very well-packaged, almost like Apple package their products. Instruction manual was in Chinese but I easily found the English version online. Every now and then the device updates its software to a new version. The app works extremely well on iOS, and as Stu.C says it uses Bluetooth to connect to your phone. Highly recommended. We have 5 of them in the family all which are working well.

When you set it up initially, it asks you to sign in or set up a mi account. I guess these are the servers you connect to. I'm not sure if you can skip this, but if you can then you won't be connected to any server.

Edit. After reading this article

https://medium.com/@cirku17/more-mifit-2-app-analysis-e2bbb4674093

I've found it does indeed communicate with at least 3 Chinese servers, including the Mi account server. Of course, this could be only if you use the Mi Fit app.

I'd be careful buying on eBay. I bought one at Xmas and it turned out to be a scam. The guy had very good feedback and then suddenly removed all items for sale and failed to dispatch recent items. He now has 50 negatives in a few days and eBay are investigating. Unfortunately, because it was coming from China and the arrival date was potentially beginning of Feb, I can't put in a dispute until then!

I think the international version is CE approved but the China one isn't. That's what I heard anyway
I got this for £11 . 2 months ago . Works great with the Mi fit app . Great little watch .
Ok, I've heard a lot of positive things about this band. However, I don't have a fancy phone , it's a Nokia, don't judge me! I want it for the pedometer really not fussed about synching it to the phone as it won't, can I simply use it to count my steps please?

I believe you can. I'm basing that on the fact that mine still gives a steps readout, etc. when I'm a long way from my smartphone (I use an old Nokia as a phone - smartphone is only a toy*), so it can't be communicationg with the phone by Bluetooth.

* I believe tech should serve me - smartphone users seem to be serving their phone with little time left for anything else, including looking before they cross the road!

Brilliant pieces of cheap kit. 5 in this family, all fault free and battery charge lasts a month. I'm not a fitness fiend either but seeing how few steps I do most days (esp at this time of year) has really encouraged me to do a little more, take the stairs not the lift, etc., etc.

I really can't understand people paying £50, even over £100, for similar or, in some cases, inferior products. China makes lots of dreadful tat but Xiaomi products are in an entirely different league in terms of both design and performance. These things are so cheap I keep a spare one in case one fails or gets lost but it hasn't happened yet.
I ordered one on ebay for £8.8 but it never arrived. Beware there are many fraud too
Not used Gearbest before, how long is delivery times on the free shipping method.
Ordered one using code BAND2 PayPal conversion today £15.04.
Cheers Op
Excuse my ignorance. What does "Dropship" checkbox at the bottom of checkout do? Thanks.
