The green heart rate LED's will help you find the Cake tin in the dark.
Just to say I bought the miband heart rate monitor from banggood 6 months ago at £23. it's now stopped working. Even though it has a 1 year warranty banggood were very difficult to deal with. In the end I was offered a repair but would have to return it at cost to me, which was more than a new one, or they would give me 500 points (£5) credit.

So I'm done with banggood.

gearbest are no better in my experience. they are all much the same
this is still too expensive considering the £15 price tag in china. When it drops below £20 il be interested
Can this be used as a trusted device? ie can it keep my phone unlocked. Sorry if it's a dumb question.

Cheap. Not in a good way. At least there's no malware/spyware with these. Or is there?
I bought one of these from Amazon last week. Only had it a week but really impressed so far. So much so I'm thinking of buying another two for the kids.

Have you got one?

My wife got one of these when they came out a few weeks ago and loves it. She did like the first mi band but prefers having a screen on it. She used to have a Fitbit but prefers this. Seems like a great device for the money. Oh and she has it as a trusted device for her Android
Probably been asked before but how do these compare against the likes of Fitbit etc. I was thinking about getting one of these for my Mum, who's only really interested in HR and and steps (_;)

These seem ideal if any good. If would be paired with a Moto G.

Are you sure it's dead? It was a common problem with the original and surprisingly the fix was to leave it in the fridge for a night. Wake up in the morning and it charged. Give it a go if you've still got it.
I thought these were going to be sold for £15-20?

Apparently, it will be available for $23 in official markets starting in a few months.

I had one on order for $29.99 from Aliexpress a few weeks ago but cancelled when I realised that notifications were simply a vibrate/icon rather than the actual text. I know Brexit has screwed the exchange rate (and everything else) but that's a big jump in price.
Can anybody tell me whether you can read the display outside in the sunshine?
I have another brand of fitness band which doubles as a watch but I cannot read it in the sun!

Have been using it for the last 1 week. Pretty good piece of kit, looks nice on the wrist. Battery life seem ok so far, lose about 3-4% per day depending upon the usage. Was using fitbit charge prior to this, seems pretty accurate too.

Previous version can, so no reasons this model can't
it is shipped from china, so there is a risk you get stung by import taxes and charges (£5.60 VAT £8 handling
charge)
Anyone who has bought this had to pay customs/VAT charges?
Can confirm no customs or vat charges on my band, received yesterday. Delivered by Royal Mail.

Got mine today.

Anyone found a way to pair with a Windows mobile?

Airmail or Priority Direct?
Poor product. I had one (bought from Banggood in China for £27 and received 8 days later in the UK, Royal Mail signed for) and sold it on eBay after trying it.

Issues:
* plastic band is difficult to close and open
* device has to be removed from band to be charged
* no continuous heart rate monitoring. Only works when pressing a button, and then takes a long time or does not work
* App is poor and has bugs (like lots of data is recorded against the wrong time)
* Does not recognize wrist motion to display time, most of the time
* Application notification shows the same icon for all, making it useless
* Trusted device on my Samsung S4 does not work to unlock the screen

Pros:
* Nice clear screen
* Great battery life
* Good build quality

I bought a Fitbit Charge HR instead, which is much better, but also more expensive (£85 at Boots).

For people just looking for a basic step counter, then the Mi Band 2 is good value for money, and has a nice and clear screen. If you need a heart monitoring device or proper fitness device, the Mi Band 2 is just no good.

Does this work with My Fitness Pal

"yes and no! I have it and I measure my steps and sleep with it. I have a iPhone 6s and it is connected to the health app and adjust the calories calculated by xiaomi`s app to your normal activity level and the apple health app is connected to myfitnesspal and synchronizes with it. So in a indirect way I get my extra calories burned accounted for! You just have to connect myfitnesspal and the xiaomi app with the health app"

There was a 15% discount code posted here for Fitbit devices purchased from Boots. I don't know if it still works
