Hi i have had 2 sometimes 4 iRoomba cleaners over the last ten years at any one time and all of these seem to be clones of the Roomba model to some degree,TBH last year i gave up on them ,i went back to Henrys and Dysons! Now I swear by Shark!
My house is full of tech and my robot cleaners were great BUT THEY ARE HIGH MAINTENANCE
Believe me they are cute and yes they pick stuff up BUT if you are NOT prepared to sit and dismantle them and obsessively clean them at least once a week they are doomed to fail!
Firstly they all have a little gearbox nearly always full of plastic cogs and the ultra fine dust that gets in around the spinning shafts weaves itself around the cogs jamming them ,overheating the plastic and leading to failure! (Rarely under guarantee)
I havent seen one of these cleaners manufacturers come up with a seal that can keep dust annd animal hair out of the gearbox and i spent a LOT of money on sealed bearing modifications on my Roombas!
As for high maintenance you WILL not find an all singing dancing guarantee either, until they start giving out a no quibble 5 year one on things like this ill not be getting anymore!
You WILL spend a fortune on replacement batteries/rollers and filters as well as side brushes and theyre NOT cheap
One advert mentions a 120 minute battery runtime yeah right maybe on day 1 from then on youll be lucky! I mean battery technology is advanced in Tesla cars maybe but vacuums forget it! Actually a runtime of this promotes so much internal heat it wont help but soften all those plastic gears!
The battery packs are just groups of ni-cads stuck together and shrink wrapped to look nice but the charger trickle charges them to death very quickly and i had to buy a new pack every year nearly and OEM ones were £60!
So consider all these comments BEFORE shelling out please, yes they do have a Robbie the robot cuteness about them but they are also a money-pit
If i ever see a well designed one that i would buy myself i will update this review

Is this not likely to be hit for tax as this is from China and DHL, likely duty and £11 DHL charge? Might need to add circa £50, has anyone had to pay import duty before?

You're not wrong!

"We seller do not responsible for the customs duty and tax. So when you make order please think twince. If the customer refuses to customs clearance, the package will be returned. "

Or you could choose to ship from Spain with a EU plug.

Have owned one for... I don't know actually, probably a year or more?

Great device. Cleans up quickly and with minimal fuss. Does like to eat cables so spend some time tidying those away. Works best on hard floors but also works on short carpet. Will not replace your big vacuum cleaner which is still needed for a deep clean or those awkward bits like stairs. Liked it so much we're going to buy a second since we've gone from a flat to a house and would like both floors covering.

Had this for over a year. Absolutely love it. So much that I demoted this one to cleaning upstairs and bought the version 2 with the mopping feature for downstairs. Between the two of them I only need to hoover the stairs now. Amazing gadgets
My fave story around them was when one cleaned and ran over dog , ended up dragging it round the house
Forgot to mention they work with Alexa now

Is the V2 worth £100 more?
In my book yes. I have laminate everywhere and it makes a big difference. Only thing don’t leave it sitting off the base on laminate flooring. The water will continue seeping from the mop to the floor and if you have non waterproof laminate it’ll blow the edges. The docking station has a clear waterproof mat section it sits on to prevent this.
I got mine for £276 using the 20% off eBay code ages ago so if you get it for that kind of price it’s a no brainer. Used an eBay seller in Poland. Delivered in a week with no customs charges
Just spotted Quidco is 11% AliExpress CB. Not bad!

so the v2 for £242
I had one of these. They're okay but incredibly slow at doing their job as well as quite loud so if you're in a small flat you're going to have to put of with a loud vaacum for 20-40 mins. Sure you could set it up to vaacum while you're out but it will no doubt suck up something like a sock therefore requiring attention. It also struggles with different height floors between rooms.

You also have to pick up everything off the floor before it does its job as opposed to vaacum around objects and items. I got a Dyson v7 and couldn't be happier with it.
I have the one with the mopping feature and wouldnt be without it. Used to have a Roomba and these are just as good, if not better. Sadly mine did fall down the stairs due to the sensor being covered by dust (be sure to clean it!) though it did survive the rather dramatic tumble!

This 11.11 sale has been excellent. Well done to the clever Chinese for cleaning up (not just with robot hoovers) with over $33bn of sales in 24 hours.

There is a new post for the v2

I have one with the mop. It's amazing piece of kit.
Had Eufy 11c returned it ..although it did clean well but kept running like headless chicken...consuming more time and battery.

Mapping feature for this price (£250-275) is no brainer(v2). You can also control via mi home app. You can do zone cleaning with up to 3 passes. Works with alexa. Amaze to see how much it picks..when ran on thick pile carpet..and on laminate. I used it daily and impressd by built quality and overall functionality.....just make sure you tidy wires to avoid getting stuck.(applies to any Robo vacuum)

If you don't need mopping then v1 should suffice.

Bought from aliexpress shipped from Spain.came in 3 days.

On the flip side, you probably shouldn't have socks on the floor in the first place :P

I set mine up on a schedule so it runs at 4pm or something and by the time we get home the place has been vacuumed.

Buy from Spain instead?
I bought one on AliExpress that was being shipped from a Spanish warehouse. It was more expensive (£225) but it got here in one week and I didn’t pay any extra tax. I’m really happy with the vacuum and find it entertaining to watch while it cleans.
This video is both helpful and very funny.
This is by far and away the best purchase I have made in years. I have had it for the best part of 2 years and it’s miles better than my roomba. Much more reliable, cleans every inch of the floor as it has a very good room mapping system. If you have pets it’s a must have.

I’ve got mine fo 210 from ebay, mobile app is amazing, you can choose cleaning mode etc, spare parts quite cheap for this model (I bught 2 filters, 2 side brushes for £4). It took 45 minute to clean my small two bedroom flat, and yes, it can replace your old vacuum cleaner defo.

Don't get me wrong for the right person it's a nice bit of kit. If you have a fairly minimalist apartment with not much on your floor and smooth laminate running throughout go for it. I just found myself spending too much time prepping for the clean. Too many times I would schedule it and either it had sucked up one of my girlfriends socks or got stuck on the threshold bar between rooms. It also couldn't clean any of my rugs which was a bummer.

This compared to eufy 11c?

This is far far better. The lidar tech is superb and the app comprehensive, so rather than randomly running bumping in to stuff with no idea where it is, it maps the rooms out, will do one at a time, and you can go and tell it to just do the kitchen. There's basic Alexa integration too, although not tried it yet. I prefer it to the 2nd gen as it has a HEPA filter,
I have the neato D7 and rate it highly. These seem to have a similar spec.
I haven’t maintained mine other than emptying the bins since I got them. Roomba’s May be different but these are awesome bits of kit. Yes they will eat cables but that’s my fault for leaving a usb cable lying around.

It’s the V1. V2 has the laser more centrally.
Version 2 (which mops as well) is £279 here, with 11% Quidco bringing it to £249. Well worth the extra if you read the reviews.
There is a newer version which you can get around the same price on ebay, when on offer.
