Great phone these, being reduced as the mi7 is just around the corner.

From a seller with good feedback.

Hukd have changed the link, if you look at the screenshot I've uploaded its from a completely different seller and price, the screenshot says they have 883 orders, but the link shows 629. Not my fault, on original link it had the free standard shipping.

Updated the link, if you click on link and choose the standard blue option, it comes to £262.71, with free standard shipping.
Black colour with Glass and TPU case is £264.19.

This or wait for pro5?

I haven't a clue, but most people would say wait for the note 5 Pro.
So much phone for the money, currently have a 128GB black Mi 6 and it is honestly the best phone I have ever phoned.

Always wished I went for the blue though

Lovely phone with outstanding specs. Can't be faulted except perhaps for the lack of a bezelless screen (cue Mi 7/Mi Mix 2s)
How is the camera for this phone? Good in low light?
How to get normal website? Not mobile version, can't see anything.

Reviews say it is excellent. Check the Dxomark review of the Mi Note 3 which has the same camera modules/setup. Not far short of phones costing twice as much.

I don't usually buy phones to ring them up myself. Anyone else have one they personally use?
I got the Mi 6 at Christmas and have been happy with it. Spent about £50 more than this.

My biggest complaint is I got the black/glass-backed version and it slides off anything not perfectly level - put it on a desk the other day and was surprised 3-4 min later when it dropped to the floor after sliding the whole way! The screen is very glossy too, so I got a matte screen protector on amazon for it, which I'd recommend.

Dual camera mode works well - gets it right 90% of the time.

Low-light shots are good, but not great. Other phones (the new S9) might be better, but then you're back to paying 3 times as much.

Have had OS updates come through a couple of times already - they keep messing with the notifications, and getting it wrong :-( But I'm sure one of the next 2 updates will get that right again.

Its now getting more likely that you'll be hit with import duty charges. I ordered 3 mobiles in the past from China and they got through with no charges. In the past 4 weeks, both mine & the neighbour's phones were stopped and we had to go to Royal mail to pay before we could collect them.

Any ideas what the price will be when launched?

I read somewhere yesterday that it is gonna be $213, but maybe the same price as this I would hazard a guess at.
Redmi note 5 pro available pre sale here:

Think the mi note 3 or mi6 is a better bet though

How much were the fees? Just trying to work out the worst case cost on this.

Mimix 2s will be about £300 more expensive, since given the choice, I'd go for mimix 2s
i have the global version of this phone and its excellent.the ceramic 128gb with gold roimd camera.its just been updated to oreo.battery life is brilliant.camera good also.i must be one of the few people who prefers 16.9 screens over the 18.9
I'm in the market for a new phone, budget was £150 odd but when I looked at slightly more expensive phones I do notice a jump in quality, especially around the camera area.

So now my budget is about £250 and having seen the HTC U Ultra for approx £220, which I'm staggered by as they sold that phone as a flagship for £600 odd at one stage, I'm struggling to not take the plunge and buy it.

Can any camera on this price range of Xioami stand up to the HTC U Ultra? This or the Mi note 3 potentially but still feel the U Ultra has a better camera when I've done comparisions of images. The only negatives for the HTC are it's pretty big, has no 3.5mm jack, not waterproof, battery not massive. Not huge deals breakers for me to be fair.

Apologies slightly off topic but any help appreciated.
Wait a minute 29 comments and nothing about no band 20, no warranty what is the world coming too
Does this have band 20? Plus what is the warranty like?

I've owned the u ultra and loved it at first, but after a couple of months it started getting quite slow at loading apps, mostly Gmail and yahoo mail.
I got annoyed with it and ended up flogging it.
I'd definitely go with something with an sd835, but there ain't much choice in this point bracket.

This Mi6 is a great choice, but it's looking dated now, and the mi7 coming out soon, or even the note 5 Pro will be around the same price point.
Cold.

Much better of with a MiA1 for £100 less unless you specificly require a smaller screen.

Why? I'd take this over a Mi A1 every time.

Explain yourself mate. As I said it's a £100 cheaper and with the pure android you wont see much difference in performance.

I've always found MIUI to be very snappy. Plus, this has an extra 2 gig of ram. I use Google Pay a lot,so need NFC, and I'm not fussed about pure android. In fact, I found it very dull. The larger screen I will accept, though.

This is the 4gb/64GB version. It's the same as the MI A1.

MiUi is full of bloatware and spyware. Pure Android is superior in every way and you can custom it to suit your needs. Also better battery performance combined with the 625.

+1 for no NFC

Thanks, I see the U Ultra has recently had an Oreo update pushed out. Not sure that'll help peformance or make it worse?

Misread the Description, thought it was 6gb. That said, u still think Pure android is boring. Also, Miui isn't full of bloat or spyware. I'd still take this over a mia1
MiUi is full of bloatware and spyware and Xiaomi are harvesting and selling your data and usage statistics. Have a quick google search about it. Remember the user agreement you signed up to when you started the phone!?!
