Requires rom flash, if you know what you are doing, then this is a bargain.

Hopefully @bitcoin5 can provide a link in additional info.

Unable to confirm this has band 20 as @BUCKUM2 has detailed below. So have removed it from this post for the time being.

As usual always factor in customs, but go through cashback sites to try and take the sting out of it.

This price for the gold version.

Yes, no doubt the price of this will go down, but here and now this is the least I could get it.
It was only announced yesterday.

This has better specs than the Nokia 7 plus everyone raves about, and it's £100 cheaper.

The problem with Xiaomi is, they price their phones too low, so people expect super low low prices.

Obviously it isn't a problem for us the consumer, but it is a problem for our mentality.

I have the closed beta and running miui10 v4 fine, however, the image cannot be shared / attempted to flash at the mo for this model

As soon as 9.7 alpha ((which is 9.6 stable .24 version +3 ott's)) is either pushed or they decide to go to stable 1 on mimi 10, then the 4gb version (this one) can have the rom flashed from the 6gb version which is the rom from the explorer model eg: global

This is a very, very fast model for the Soc used, yes the full Mi 8 is over 320k on the Antutu, but this Mi 8 SE at 180k, is almost twice as fast as the Nokia 7 plus... just, like everyone else, wish it did not have the nasty notch!

Mad cheap price for the 1st of many models this year that will have this killer chip in!
Don't be in a hurry to order this...

Firstly its not released in China yet, once it is there is no guarantee this seller will get stock. This is a pre-order.
Secondly, once its released and sellers get stock, their price will be lower
Thirdly, there's better sellers on aliexpress which offer vat free shipping to UK
Fourthly, this phone will come out soon in a global version and the more popular xiaomi dealers on aliexpress will have it. No rom flashing + band 20 4G.

Same. I'm really interested in under-display fingerprint sensor in a budget phone like this

That should come down a fair bit, unless production is very limited thanks to either the under-display fingerprint sensor or 3D facial recognition sensors.

I think Xiaomi said it'll be 3699 CNY in China, which is sub-£450 in our money. I reckon ~£500-550 will be a reasonable price to expect from resellers, assuming a decent production run.
Pricey considering it is 280 USD , give it 4 weeks these will be much close to £200 delivered or better.

A bit too expensive at the moment. Would be happy at around £550 mark.

You are the man! Thanks
I'm guessing this is missing the 3.5mm jack.

You are the man! Thanks

Or wo-man

I am holding out until the 5th june for the Lenovo Z5 price, as mentioned, still not actually got around to buying the nokia or the mi mix2s, as know there is a lot coming soon...

The SD710 is a big game changer, as it gives you the omph of the 845, for a lot less!

The next one on the release is 6th ((another!)) vivo model, but they are arguing over the IP to the name they want to release it under, so might be a bit longer yet..

Yep, also no nfc is also a missed feature due to all wechat pay qr users
Wow, does this have nfc?
Also, does this have the dual mode GPS?
I remember reading and forwarding about a new GPS chip saying it will in mobiles next year (that was 2 years ago by now). The bigger brother has it but uncertain about this one.

I didn't think the mi 8se had band 20, every site i checked says it doesn't but maybe this is the global version? I'm holding out for the z5 before i pull the trigger on a new phone

Small battery? It is bigger than some flagships. Running with a low powered SoC, and it has 1080p AMOLED display. Battery is fine.

That's a real shame. The SD 710 looks brilliant, I read an article detailing how it shares a lot withe the sd835 and above.

Yes, the z5 looks amazing. I just hope it lives up to the hype, they've already "lied" on the looks of the thing, so what else are they gonna tell white lies about?

sure , just double your spend and buy a oneplus 6 , job done.
Mrswitch me old mucker just to let you know that as far as i am aware the Mi 8 SE does not have band 20 support. The Mi 8 standard models do and the explorer does also. I base this on info on GSMArena gsmarena.com/xia…php and Kimovil kimovil.com/en/…-se . and XDA xda-developers.com/xia…ch/ and although this seller has band 20 listed in his details he says further down under TIPS This cell phone is Chinese Version. Don't Have Mutli Language and Google Play, So, we will send a Sealed Box to you.
All the Mi 8 models on sale at the moment are Chinese versions with Chinese rom so no google services unless the seller installs it, or you install it yourself. They will have English language and as i said earlier the standard and explorer will support band 20 perhaps you should edit your deal and mention this as a precaution until band 20 for the SE versions can be confirmed Heat added this is a good early price

The chip is definitely good compared to the Nokia 7 plus but Xiaomi don't provide monthly security updates for year one and two, then quarterly updates for the last year, per android one spec. If Xiaomi did I be all over them, unless anyone can tell me they will be in the future?

Hi i take it you have this Mi 8 SE phone can you confirm if it does or does not support FDD LTE band 20 as i have explained a couple of post up all info i can find on GSMArena, Kimovil, and XDA show it does not also MI.com shows it doesn't whereas it shows the standard and explorer models do

Just read that 3 are going to be selling Xiaomi phones in the UK. That is fantastic because all their phones are sold factory unlocked.

Great news , but I am guessing it will not be any time real sooooon , I'd say no sooner than the last qtr of 2018 , or later.
I hope the explorer mi 8 comes down in price. i was even thinking about getting the explorer addition direct from the chinese ebay (taobao) and getting it reshipped to the uk. since the cost on there site works out at £380 and the cheapest i've seen so far on the gearbest, aliexpress... is £650 so it would be a big saving. I'd probably just have to reflash the global rom or a custom rom which is worth it for the saving
Father-Jemima-Racktool1st Jun

The mi8 doesn’t have sd845?

The MI 8 standard models and the Explorer model have SD 845 and the MI 8 SE models have SD 710
Good price! Heat Added.

I have a Xiaomi Mi Max - 4G/128GB - Dual SIM Gold (Unlocked) Smartphone in an immaculate condition for sale if anyone in the London area would like it (or even in the Suffolk region as I will be there next week). Its got the latest stable Global ROM on it

I am willing to send photos showing the phones condition and the buyer is also welcome to inspect the phone before purchase. PM me if interested.

CN version means that you need to download a file and install it from recovery. It takes 5 minutes.
You should check if the voucher is still working: YIJIAPHONE. It has been working in the last couple of days depending on their stocks so if it's not working, try again tomorrow.
The shipping is through belgium just like with Gearbest and therefore it is low customs risk but it's never 100% sure.

I tried to submit the deal on here this morning but apparently it is under moderation since then which is a pity for such a good flash deal.
