at the price its a steal but really..any good?
There was a similar post about 2 months ago and everyone was raving about them for the price, so I order three pairs...

I am no audiophile, and only buy cheapy ones as I destroy or loose a pair in a few weeks. But was very disappointed with these, extremely tinny and sound faint.

You can't beat JVC Gummy headphones for the price! Regularly on offer for £3-4 in supermarkets or online.

I own a pair of these. For the price they're comfortable enough and sound quality isn't bad, even though I finish them a bit muddy - bit overpowering on the low end. Ultimately though, they're less than 4 quid and you'd be hard pressed to find a better pair in this price range.

Have you tried Panasonic 125? I used the gummys for years before trying the panasonics. Same price but they sound a lot better to me, more durable too.
Great set of earphones , have used for over a year now ! Cannot go wrong with this price
I was very pleasantly surprised by these, I actually prefer them to my Hybrid Pros.

The original Hybrids are still my favourites, but at sub-£4 these definitely win in terms of VFM.
I swear they keep going up
It's £5.03 now, is there a code?
These headphones are great if you also own a Xiaomi smartphone the built in audio enhancer really makes the sound a lot better . I got them for £2.93 last time.

Not for me, showing as £5.03
we have three of these amongst us, two teenage daughters and me, we all like them, bass is pretty strong, vocals clear, they are comfortable and they seem to be pretty robust, they are my gym, dog walking and don't care pair. They are £4, probably way better than you got with your phone, better than cheap sonys, and (repeating) £4. Try them. I also have an expensive pair of Sennheiser open back overears, they aren't as good as them, then they were about 12 times the price. Get more than you pay for. Comments are in my opinion, as a royal blood, duran duran, thunder, depeche mode, miranda lambert, roxette, simple minds, luke bryan, listener.

I think this is the key thing with these: they're great VFM and beat the normal cheap headphones by a considerable margin. They're not the best headphones ever produced being sold for less than 4 quid, which is sometimes how they appear to be portrayed.

As you say, people should just give them a try. If you like them, you've found a great source of cheap, decent headphones. If you don't, you've lost the price of a sandwich and you can give the headphones to your kids/girlfriend/mate (or anyone else who'll happily use the crap Apple etc give you in the box with your phone).

Don't know why it's tinny, wonder if dodgy pair.

My sound is excellent
Got these a while ago, sound quality is decent, especially for the price, as is build quality. Unfortunately, they fall out of my ears at any slight movement so are basically unuseable. Wish they came with hooks.
Ordered one just to try if they are better than the apple
Just ordered. am slightly wary of Gearbest as last time they put me on their frequent email marketing list when I hadnt expected
and there is no option to change that or delete your account at my end, had to raise a ticket to stop them.

Had a a pair of these before, I think I've lost them so am getting another. IMO, the overall sound is loud, good bass but treble is "unsubtle" (hence the tinny sound that some describe) and at higher volumes you get noticeable distortion which betrays the limitations . I listen to a range of stuff, rock, classical (Radio 3) and voice. But for less than a fiver they are tolerable though opinions will vary eg your hearing starts to deteriorate from your early 20s anyway, (I am 55) so a great sound for one person could be a muddle for another. Not just about loudness, there are certain frequencies that we simply stop being able to hear as we age.
But for example I was unimpressed with the SoundMagic E10s that got rave reviews (mine had virtually no bass)
