This is the best price for this bundle, cheaper than Gearbest and Banggood.

You get:
Multifunctional Gateway Remote Control ($26.89)
Window Door Sensors ($8.99)
Smart Wireless Switch ($9.99)
Human Body Sensor ($25.99)
Outlet ($11.99)

Priced at $52.99 but you get $5 off using voucher: PAYPAL, making it $47.99 = £36.49.

But the plug part isn’t even for a uk plug??

Is this the same as the Aqara kit?

I have everything set up, from sensors to yeelights.

Only have a problem so far and is the google home integration. For it t see the yeelights we need to use Singapore server but when on that server I can’t add stuff like gateway. For all to appear on the Mi app, we need to be on the Mainland server.

Anyway around it.

They can be (except the hub) be added to Samsung Smartthings if you have it, otherwise there is an Xiaomi api that allows some home automation software to interact with the Xiaomi hub system.

Wow, this is why I haven't gone smart with my Amazon Echo! It all looks so complicated I think I'll stick to walking over and switching the lamp on!

I think the kit you refer to has different devices eg 2x Door sensors and no outlet. The devices are different shapes but work the same and are compatible with each other.

Yes.....throw it all in the bin!

Flipping heck what is becoming of us all?

I'm going to start a self reliance cult. You have to do things like turn the kettle on manually, turn up the heating with your hand and occasionally interact with each other "face to face"

I'm up for it, as long as it's only occasionally that I have to "interact" with someone.

Probably only for a few minutes each time.....

I just need any savings you have and any personal belongings must be sold on eBay inc nectar points gained then the monies forwarded to my cult.

There will be an initiation of sorts but I'm not at liberty to discuss this matter further on here.

Is this the 2nd generation units?

Why are replying on a gadget post if you are so against it.
I only asked a question about servers, not your input if is useless or not, that’s down to personal choice and preference.
Also I use my system as intruder alarm and ends up being quite a cheap and easy to install one.

Can you answer my question about the servers ?

Great price for the package but the PIR price is wrong (not the version you get, and the the Aqara version is just a mad price anyway on geek buying, cheaper everywhere else.)

The plug is Chinese so you'd need two adaptors to use it! Does anyone know of any smart plugs (UK pins) that would work with this Xiaomi system??

Are you also averse to motorised transport, TV remotes, washing machines etc or do you just struggle to imagine that people have differing hopes and expectations in life?

I once bought a microwave ?

So... does this work in UK sockets? And with UK smart switches and Google Home?

Can the Xiaomi hub connect to the smartthings hub and used as a speaker or light and not as a hub, as it has a few different features inside (led/speaker)?
