'Original'. It continues to worry me that there appears to be no direct translation for the words 'genuine' or 'authentic' in the Chinese language.

I've been waiting for nearly two months for the one I ordered on 11 September. You may disagree but I think this is absolutely unacceptable. The product appears to be stuck in customs clearance somewhere in France, since late September.

PayPal have now been asked to step in to resolve the situation.

I urge you to consider the above carefully before you part with you cash.

Can't blame Gear Best for it being stuck in customs....

I heard recently you can now choose English , hoping someone can verify

yes, just did some research and it seems like the English version of the app is now available. could someone confirm this please.

I heard it sucks

It's a good price for the features it has compared to other brands and comes out well in reviews. The proper room mapping and SLAM algorithm puts it way ahead of cheap dumb ones that just bump around.

Think it depends as much on your house as on the product though. Personally I've got stairs and lots of things that would get in its way, so wouldn't make much sense. If you've got an open plan flat or something with lots of clear floor space, it'd probably be great.

I bought one for work, for it's price is truly amazing. Open office and packing area, over sq60m. English app works perfectly. Setup was flawless and it cleans the entire floor area covered in wires, car parts, boxes, bags and usual filth while mapping out it's route in real time and sending notifications.

English voice pack definitely available, one of the first things I did since Chinese was quite vicious. It would yell angrily when I removed the dust bin, making me want to put it back. Mine arrived on the 1st and has been bringing the flat up from no vacuuming to light vacuuming ever since.

Gearbest tracking is basically non-existent. You will get notified on the day it'll turn up at your door, but there will be no tracking updates before then. Not worth paying for.

Ordered mine on 11th September and still haven’t got it. They’ve rolled out some excuse and said they sent a replacement on 21st October. That hasn’t arrived either so I’ve given them till next Wednesday before I start a claim to get my money back. Might be worth waiting to see if the delays get sorted before ordering.

I've also been waiting since the beginning of October. It took them over a week just to put the thing in a box and send it out. Looks like it'll be a long overdue Christmas present to myself at this rate.

Shipping date was 11th October. They're telling me it can arrive up to 20th November.

Still haven't received mine ordered in September, think the customs excuse was bs

Ordered 12th September in same boat. I do believe them that got a container stuck at customs. They maybe were not marked as having batteries and mine I believe was marked as a $20 romba gift... Can't say am surprised customs hold them. The new ones they sent when didn't arrive said would be here in 10 business days for me but thought would be optimistic. Expecting will still come soon with no warning. I asked for update which they said would be Monday.

hmm:
233 quid (after TCB) from BangGood
225 quid from Geek Buying
206 quid from Gearbest (considering all the negative feedback on here)
233.99 from Ibuygou (seems to get quite good review on reddit from what i can see)

Has anyone had more positive experiences buying big items from either of the above?
Edited by: "sparkeeh" 5th Nov

This is the first negative experience from Banggood. It won't put me off using them again (as long as my item arrives or I get a refund).

After spending a few days with my robot vacuum I can say these are absolutely fantastic. Ours cleans ~40m^2 in 40 minutes taking 20% of its battery capacity. This means the battery should last a while before its total capacity drops to the point of needing replacement. It's super thorough and seems to learn between runs, like the first time it went through a small gap it got stuck for about a minute trying to navigate back through the gap. The following run it went straight in and straight out without getting stuck. Something that I think is going to important is that we no longer have to worry about the floor, so dusting and cleaning surfaces has become easier as you can just brush the dust onto the floor and it'll get dealt with the next time the robot runs (set it to run once a day).

Why go to the expense the wife does it for free

Great, tell her she can come round and do my house when she's finished with yours.

Ordered on the 17th of sep, still not here. Same ridiculous excuse of it being lost of something and apparently another unit shipped the start of Oct shipment still showing as delayed and basically ignoring my request for a refund, I also paid for priority air shipping which seems a complete lie even though I've been charges for it. So 2 month later I'm still without the vacum and have no idea when its coming. Customer service is useless do not purchase from gearbest.

How are these with carpet that is fairly thick?

Or just buy an ordinary hoover and spent 10minutes cleaning......

Apparently it Hoover's up car parts and boxes so I don't think carpet will be much of a problem.

Received after 7 weeks, have had it running daily for a few days now and am very impressed with the results, one of the best gadgets I've purchased

Hmm... what if you could hire a cleaner to do the vacuuming for you. They come in daily, and cost 10p per hour.

That is what this is.
