My preferred choice because of the long press option
I have one from a previous deal and just in process of setting up. I'm using smartthings gateway and MQTT to home assistant, but I can't seem to get this to show up correctly as a sensor. Anyone able to help? Got the motion sensor and door sensor working no problem, so something simple in my config file!
Do you need a hub? I just want a physical switch for my yeelights, does anyone know if such a thing exists?

Does anyone happen to know does smartthings recognise the long press, and also what sort of things can one use the long press for?

I've got mine set up with a Xiaomi Hub.

Toggle
Quick press - bedroom
Double press - Attic
Long press - Bathroom

I've also made some press switches see video above

I've got a couple set up as MQTT triggers for various automations, but I'm not sure you can set it up as a sensor, at least easily as it doesn't have any state as such.

you need the xiaomi gateway 2
I have 2 of these at the minute and they're great for my yeelights. You can still use these with google home or alexa using the gateway but it is a hassle to set it up. but it works great when you've done it

My switch/button working now, currently testing it by having it turn on my fireplace (harmony controlled) and display cabinets (rf plug controlled from home assistant) and play a song through my google home. Then long press to turn it all off again! So many potential uses for these, but can't wait to use one for a christmas light switch on with the kids, xmas lights come on and christmas songs start playing
