Be warned, these are a fixed very cold white, fine if you like it but otherwise you'd be better getting the RGB version for a quid or two more, tuning the white to you're liking and leaving it like that...which I did and stuck this one in an outside light just to use it up.

There newish Philips white one is also tuneable if that floats your boat but that uses a different system to control it if you're using Home Assistant or similar.

Awesome price!

Great price. I think this is just the white one tho. Would personally prefer the colour for around the same price

... Waits for Bangood to drop the price tomorrow...

Yes, this is the white version. Good price but we've seen the colour version at less than 7 quid so not an incredible price...but heat added. About time Philips got some proper competition because they get the wee wee with thir Hue pricing...

Anyone used these? How bright are they? Thinking of replacing some standard 11W LEDs with these...

*edit* Ah, website says 8W

Got the colour one last week, very impressed! Got it working with Alexa too which was very easy. Waiting to get another sub-£10...

Damn! Wish this was RGB

Thanks for this. Was about to jump but my wife hated the last cold white light we got!

Will wait for the next drop on the RGB one

I've now got one of these and 4 of the colour ones, all working via the app and Alexa.
better getting the colour ones as you can change the from cold white light to warm etc.
they do seem brighter than the 9 watt leds ive replaced them with

Cold white is very popular in Asia, as it's a relief from the hot muggy weather.
Warm white is very popular in Europe, as it's a relief from the cold damp weather.

Amazon, ebay, Ikea etc. I got mine from Amazon. A quid each (prime so don't have to order 20 quid for free delivery. They really don't add on much height (about 2cm?). Certainly worth it to save about 40 quid a bulb compared to Philips Hue!

So can you use these on a pre-programmed timing setting via an App? I'm looking to possibly use this in a table lamp for when I go away at weekends and holidays.

I believe you can only make timer schedules in the dedicated Yeelight app and not the Mi home app. And you can certainly control the yeelights remotely via the app from anywhere (I've been known to change the colour of the bulbs in our lounge while at work, giving the wife a bit of a fright

does this need a bridge?
do i just screw them in and can i use my current switch?

I think it's gone now

no longer working

I already have 3 colour Yeelight (all installed easily - but I'm having difficulty with this mono version (scan not picked up even after reset) and there's no manual instal for the white version. Anyone else has any problems?
