Give us more info :-)
It looks like this wont work in the UK, can anyone confirm
there are lots of questions about using in various coutries and the nmajority of answers are
"Please note that the item only can be used in non-European and American region right now."

When you click on teh Eurpoean and american version button it says discontinued...
Nothing but connection issues ...and there is tons of people complaining about the exact same thing all over the internet and various forums.

You are right!
I've had one for about a year. Initially ran fine and was useful in claiming for damage from couriers but it lost the wifi connection about 4 months ago and its been impossible to get it to reconnect. Although I do remember cursing for about 24 hours trying to get it working the first time round as well. I've upgraded to a much more professional POE based camera system now.
The app isn’t great. It claims to send notifications if set up, but these don’t work. Better off with the YI home cameras. Far better app etc

Thanks. This is a very good price for the Dafang camera. I have had a couple now and they work great. Ordered another one

Despite all the connection and region issues, Dafang is generally the better version comapred to Xiaofang, which is why Dafang is usually slightly more expensive.
Great camera using these:

I have a dafang (that actually works) and interested to learn more about this.
The only thing I wish I could do better is turn on and off the motion alerts based on other things in my smart home
These are absolute rubbish, they cannot be viewed outside your own wifi network.
The whole fang hacks thing is a nonsense as again to view outside the network you need a raspberry pi.
Please do not vote this product hot to waste peoples money.

Thanks from me too. 3rd Dafang on the way
You can't buy it if you're in UK. When attempting to buy it just says this item is not available to be shipped to UK.

"Sorry, we cannot ship the selected item(s) to United Kingdom."

Sorry, if you go to the deals on the GB home page, select electronics (14% I think it was). Then it will add the coupon on to your account.

Can be used for this original deal as well.

I use this website and their chrome extension

If you're tech savvy and don't mind a bit of fiddling to set up these are great value.
Mine needs an occasional reboot but for the price I think they are a decent buy.

Thanks 🏻
I have the Dafang 1080p version and dont have any issues I haven't updated the firmware. The network can be slow but I paid £15 for the camera and it is well worth the money, for the exterior of my home I have a POE Hikvision setup which is obviously better but then that cost a lot lot more than £15. Also ordered lots of items from Gearbest with no issues
Why expired? Still seems to be that price

is the mijia better?https://www.gearbest.com/ip-cameras/pp_615275.html

I’d like to know this as well.
I tried for about a year to get one of these working. It eventually ended up in a drawer. However I recently tried again using the MiHome App China server. You have to add it manually clicking on the camera picture in the list of devices. You get someone speaking in chinese. Somehow it found the device and the picture was amazing.

All the videos on Youtube show the camera being powered by powerbanks. I cant find any information on what power supply might be ok with frying the camera
Still haven't received my camera ordered months ago. listed as dispatched filled a ticket with them but cant get anywhere. Think I will need to contact my credit card company

Picture sucks to be honest. Fps is also bad
I'll go for the Dafang one, much better night vision, sound, fps, & ptz. More reason not to buy into earlier generations. This Xiaofang is old tech from Xiaomi. Just wished the Chinese stop churning out constant old tech with new casings & concentrate on the software support/updates.
Have 3 wifi IP cameras and found the picture on this to be stunning when I got it to work. Obviously we are having a different experience of the same camera. My main complaint is that its been a nightmare to set up so I wouldnt reccommend it.
