Just came across this on Gearbest website, had a quick search and no one else seems to have posted this yet. Very good deal in my opinion, so much cheaper than Philips Hue bulbs.

People in other threads are talking about setting it up with IFTTT (Amazon Echo as well?) and there's also the official app on play store.

if it's anything like the Google home, it's fairly easy using ifttt , but you have to make a scene for every color you want , just time consuming.
Any idea how long for delivery... never ordered from them before
No need for ifttt anymore, the skill has now been approved by amazon.

I have 4 of these, one in each of the bedrooms.

In the Yeelight app, you also get pre set scenes, sunrise, sunset. Great for the kids going to bed.

The sunset scene slowly fades to off
You can also create your own scenes.

To get the echo to set the light to a colour, you save each colour as a scene (name the scene as the colour). Then tell Alexa to turn X room light..then the name of the colour/scene.

There are different delivery options, I normally go for the cheapest and it takes anywhere between 2 weeks to 4 weeks if I recall correctly

They quote 7-10 business days. I think mine took around 10 days.
Ok..:. Would you recommend these over Philips hue sets? The starter kit which is RRP £60
I can't comment on the Hue setup, I haven't seen it in person.

From what I read when I looked into which one to buy was that the Hue setup wins for brightness.

I am more than happy with the brightness of the Yeelights though.
I have some of these. I purchased 2 colour ones to try out and was very impressed. For £14 they are spot on. They can be Co trolled by smart phone or by Amazon echo. Very easy to set up. Can choose any colour and brightness and as mentioned above, the scenes are good. I have ordered another 3 to do the other bedrooms and office.

All I need now is to figure out some switches that I can use with them (normal light switches turn off the power completely so wifi then doesn't work) apparently I need aqara switches but £40 each is a bit steep.

For anyone wondering on the features, download the "mi home" or "yeelight" app from Google play or appstore and you can create a pretend light bulb within the app and play around with the controls to see what the bulb would look like and it's features. If anyone wants to see the features before they buy, try that.
Do you need a hub for these bulbs?

Pretty easy I have one of these works with the Yeelight app and also they've recently released something for the Echo. Pretty good!
Just ordered 2 thanks
Can they be used as a normal bulb too, ie turn on and off with the light switch?
Or are they ideally used in a separate lamp in the room.

Can imagine the other half getting extremely frustrated if she can't just walk into a room and switch on the light!

Yes when switched on they start on a bright white, they can then be changed with the app to the various colours. Bought one for a fussy sleeping 9 year old and she loves that the light can be set to lots of different colours. Prices floats around £14.00 as they are converting $ to £, also don't forget the quidco/TCB. Gearbest are one of the better suppliers in my opinion..
Are these screw fit only, any bayonet ones out there? I couldn't see any options on their website. Thanks.
Can these go in any lamp or does it need a specific lamp

You can buy adaptors for a few quid off ebay/amazon (probably even Gearbest too). You want an E27 to B22 adaptor.

I have their LED Strip and was very easy to set up with Echo. Just use the Alexa App to install YeeLight skill set and then in the YeeLight App name the lamp and away you go.

For example, I have the LED Strip mounted behind my TV so I state 'Alexa, turn on TV light' and Alexa turns it on. Easy
I assume that if they are on a dimmer switch you need to turn up fully and let the app and device manage the dimming?
I assume that there is no E14 equivalent? Would this need an adapter?
I don't get what this is fully but I'm liking the deal anyway :-)

I'd be keen to go for the LED strips but see they have 5m only, although I did find a 30cm. Do you happen to know if the 30cm can be managed by this app? I only need it to put some light in some shelving.
If anyone buys one please send one to BigClive so he can tear it apart and see if it's exciting, thanks
Only 16million colours? That won't take me long to get through.

That's correct

Is it only white light that has adjustable brightness?
