Found 30th Sep 2009
Reduced from £1200.

Probably of limited interest but this is, I swear, a fantastic price for a proper Swiss watch with Valjoux Chronograph movement.

Quidco brings the overall price down to £570, to get it, from the Goldsmiths home page navigate to Sale, Watches, brand 'Oris' and it's the last one there.

Oris Big Crown Chronograph Gents Watch, automatic movement, stainless steel and gold bracelet and case, silver dial, domed plexi glass, water resistant to 50 metres.

Now, now, I did say that this was probably of limited interest but, as the next best price anywhere is just short of £1000 I was just wondering how some genius had decided that this was cold.

mod

Have some heat
Probably the big chill cos it's £600 for a watch, but if you are right and the next best is a grand +.....

Thk u kindly.

hot from me.

I think I'll buy this.
Now, can someone here lend me £510?
Quidco should cover the rest!

Heat added, half-price on a Swiss Made watch !

A bit too bling for me though, prefer them a little simple and understated.

Oris are great watches, I was lucky enough to win a TT a few years ago and love it!

I'm just wondering how you get it to track quidco if you can't search it on the Goldsmith website?

For Quidco go the Goldsmiths home page and put the item number 17600356 in the search box.

Oris are one of the few brands in Goldsmiths that retain a decent 2nd hand (no pun intended) value. I'm always surprised at the excitement that offers on Armani, D&G, et al have generated on here when the 2nd hand value of these is a very small fraction of the retail price.

However whilst Oris retain decent value, at £600 I would rather search out a half-price mechanical Ebel, which would probably appreciate in value.

For all the designer brand fans, give a try to Nautica watches. Although they are made in Timex factories they are keenly priced, well-made watches. And Timex themselves make some pretty good watches under their own name.

my friend is telling me that I can use my Tesco Clubcard points (x4) here in Goldsmiths..

has anyone done that??

You can get Tesco to send you Goldsmiths vouchers in exchange for Clubcard points but you can only use them in store on full price items I'm afraid. ]http//ww…ery

wow hot

Looks like its gone:

'Unfortunately the item that you were looking for is currently out of stock on our website.

Yes you can, though I am not sure if you can on the reduced items?? You will have to check Instore...

It's back in the latest sale, still at £600 but I guess Goldsmiths were a little peeved at giving loads of 15% cashbacks on the last deal and now you 'only' get 5% on sale items but still....

Here it is goldsmiths.co.uk/pro…912

but to get Quidco, from the Goldsmiths home page navigate to Sale, Watches, brand 'Oris' and it's the last one there.

There's also the Oris Frank Sinatra (yes, really) chronograph for £760 which is also half RRP. Here's that one - goldsmiths.co.uk/pro…914
and this is what it looks like

again, follow the route from Sale items as above if you're going the Quidco route.
