It's the same thing as buying fake designer goods, of course it will be cheaper, the quality (including design) won't be as good, but if you don't care then that's up to you if you choose to buy.

We usually but expensive mugs that sometimes fade in the dishwasher. We bought two mugs a while ago with dog photos on them and they havent faded at all - both from Poundland

Not bad at all

My mum will love these to go with her tea/coffee/sugar pots

Hot. She was great in Pirates of the Caribbean.

I have family that live and work in xuzhou in marketing and from what they tell me a lot of factories take on "contracts" for large multinational corps, occasionally if they don't like a product or a product quota has been met, the excess products are shipped over as fakes or de-branded and sold off to pound shops. Its not always the brand that brings the quality, sometimes its just the manufacturing process. Anything you buy in this country most likely costs only 10% of that value to manufacture and produce. Companies spend 40-50% more on advertising a product than they ever do on producing the product, to create a false need within you.
