linky no workie at this moment
Just bought and had a browse .. seems ok ..
I also use uk maps app which cost me £8 I think and uses os map info and has been extremely accurate on my walks . Thanks for posting .
Shame it isn't 1:25,000 though - they want you to buy credits to then buy the higher detail .
Suppose they are OK for use with a GPS device but I swear by the 1:25k for proper walking.
I'd love a map for Loch Lomand... Ffs, doesn't inspire me with much confidence

You can get them from ViewRanger. I only buy the tiles I need rather than a whole area. Only spend about £10 a year for much better mapping.

I buy my 1:25000 Explorer maps here for £5.84 each.

Each map has a scratch off code that you can use to install the same map on a phone or tablet. They say you can only install each map on one device, but I've had no issues installing all the maps (I've bought 5) on a couple of phones and a tablet.
Awesome. Just bought. Viewranger rocks.

Not much point in having OS maps on your phone if you're walking in a remote rural area with no signal. I'll stick with conventional paper maps, thanks.

The point is that the maps are on the phone, so no need for a signal

Dont need a phone signal, just a gps signal.
Nothing feels as good as a paper map unless it blows away of course

There's always free alternatives, you just need to know where to look

I use these maps with Locus Map Pro play.google.com/sto…pro
There is a free version of the app too.

androidmaps.co.uk
The offline vector maps can be viewed as "Hike and Bike", "Ski", "City" and "Road".

Can confirm UK Map for iphone is fantastic. I have used it all over the UK and it works perfectly, all 1:25 and 1:10 are free after the initial purchase. The app now allows GPX files to be uploaded from web site which makes following routes a doddle
Sorry to hijack the thread, but I'm hoping a ViewRanger user can answer a question that I can't find an answer to online...

If I purchase any tiles/maps, do they automatically update to the latest version if a new one is available, or will I need to repurchase the maps/tiles?

Many thanks.
When it comes to payment, is it through the play store - I'd use up some rewards credit
