Osprey’s Farpoint 40 rucksack has been designed with travel in mind as the lightest travel rucksack in the Osprey range, allowing you to pack weightier items for your next European adventure, and the 40 litre volume allows you to pack everything you need plus more!

To assist with travel, the Farpoint 40 features a zip-away mesh ventilated panel that can be zipped when in transit, making it a small, carry on suitcase. Assisted by large cushioned carry handles, the Farpoint 40 can be transported through airports with ease. Once you have landed, the mesh panel is unzipped, leaving reliable padded shoulder and hip straps to give support and the ability to carry your gear comfortably between hotels or to the airport.

The Farpoint 40 offers great ease of access with a large zippered opening that accesses the main compartment with a lockable zip for added security. Internal pockets and a padded laptop sleeve also offer space for valuables such as devices or sunglasses that you don’t want breaking before you have even landed.

All of these practical features combine to make the Farpoint 40 the perfect travel companion and a must have for your travels.

Great price - if you need it to fit size requirements just pack lighter and cinch it down!
Apparently I already have too many travel bags. These are great though and a steal at £60.

I don't think you are alone...
The Fairview 40 which is the woman's version of this is just £2 more also.
Also be aware I price matched this with wiggle to get it for £63, Go outdoors will price match the £70 price - 10% but they wont do the new customer code.
I use this bag quite frequently and I love it, it's really durable and comfortable, there are a few small points that keep this from being perfect though.

1) If the bag is full, the bottle holders aren't really useable.
2) If the bag is not full but you have a laptop the bag becomes a bit unbalanced but you can control this to a degree with the compression straps.
3) The shoulder strap when in holdall mode is not very comfortable and could use some padding.

At this price I would definitely recommend though!

A woman's version? Of a backpack? Do they have different backs, arms in a different place or something that means bags aren't unisex? If I still used Facebook, this would be a perfect product for the Unnecessarily Gendered Products page.

This a necessarily gendered product. It's not a pink version and a blue version, the Woman's one doesn't come with a mirror and an extra mascara pocket, it's made to fit a Woman's body. Women are generally smaller, have breasts and wider hips. These come with different requirements, the dimensions are designed to fit a woman.

Both me and my wife have lots of osprey products. Some are adjustable to fit both of us like the Poco AG but this one has a fold away back strap so its not possible to include an as adjustable back strap. We tried both in the shop the fairview definitely fit her better and the Farpoint fit me better.
Of course Men and Women come in a variety of shapes and sizes and if the Fairview or Farpoint fit you better even if it wasn't the supposed assigned gender just buy that one.

How dare you comment when you actually know what you are talking about! ;-). Much more fun to mock what you know not!

Love Osprey myself...and have the Farpoint for hold luggage. My girlfriend used mine on a recent holiday but it was just for going to and from the airport as a normal bag. Had she been using it for.lugging about as a rucksack for.hours then I would have considered the female version for her.

hacage isn't going to like the above deal.:)

In all seriousness I do find completely unnecessarily gendering products odd but making a high end backpack that is supposed to be as ergonomic as possible definitely does not fit into that category.
WOW !! I got this on discount for £100 a couple years ago, this is so cheap!
For anyone looking at this but thinking it's a bit big or a bit pricey I decided to get a Berghaus Trailbyte 30. I got Millets to beat the Very.co.uk price by 10% so £40.49 if you buy instore or £41.49 click and collect. £43.49 delivered.

If anyone wants to post this as a deal please do. I would but I don't have time right now.
