these work with your hue hub and have the same colour output as the richer colours bulbs. there's a few YouTube videos reviewing them against gen 3 and they look identical but 60% cheaper!

works with Alexa and Google home but be warned not siri!

here's a guy receiving them against gen 2 and 3 hue

I tried a couple of these with hue before and had to return then. When I use them for white light, they don't work well. For example if I set it to 6500k, after using for a few mins, it changes back to 3500k.

I have some osram day and warm light bulbs which work great with hue.

Good deal. I'm wary as in my experience it's very hard to get Osram to replace anything under warranty (they don't argue but the processes are not clear, still waiting months for a replacement to arrive, etc)

When one of my Lightify bulbs stopped working, Amazon replaced it next day. These bulbs do not perform as well as the Hue bulbs, but do the job.

Tempted. I've osrams candle e14 bulbs in my hall connected to my hue setup. They work well and were simple to add to the bridge - but needed to be added with the bridge close to the bulb.

The only thing that I don't like about them is there's a short delay when you power the bulbs on - Like a second or so, and then they light up. Hues are instant.

by working with Hue hub can you actually control them through the hue app itself?

Odd apparently according to the description the box contains a sexy elf costume...

Yes.

They don't last nowhere near as long as the Hue bulbs.

I'd be tempted to get some more, but it would be better value just buying the Hue bulbs

I've got hue hub 2 but no colour bulbs. Just wondering how often do people actually change colour of their bulbs? I can't see a situation where I'd need to?

If you want to create a sexy mood, you could change the light to red.

If you only have 1 bulb in a room then apart from the previously mentioned brothel effect there is not much you can do with coloured bulbs but if you have a few then they can be used to create 'moods and effects'. In the evening i tend to use a combination of purples and blues eventually fading to a soft glow whch we find very relaxing

I have x2 Osrams (£15 UK deals last year) and they will hook up to Hue but I use hue pro to control my set up most of the time and the colours are not reported correctly in the app, no major problem, just means you need to use your eyes to see the actual colour. If you are a total control freak this may niggle you a bit. Had them about a year but only very low use area, so no idea on reliability. I'd probably stick with huge bulbs in future (buy when on offer, not at £50!) as I've had a few issues with one of the osram bulbs not switching off.

yes you can

If the firmware in these bulbs is older, you DO need a Lightify hub in order to update them. It can also be tricky sometimes to get the hue hub to turn the bulb off completely...

Philips hue cost £15.. what's the point for this? cold
