Heat.
Different car have different bulbs, so you need to check what's fitted in yours before ordering.
Thanks dimebars
Awesome light output but very poor longevity. Phillips version better.
Type your Reg No in this website: EuroCarParts in the 'Fast Finder' box and it should tell you what bulbs your car uses. If it comes up with H7's then you can order these.
I thought I'd check how they rate. I have an FTO and found the above. Looks decent, might have to get some.
Since the Plus have been released the previous problems have been sorted. I've been running the same pair for over 2 1/2 years now.

I'd disagree with that, in the past 4 years, I've only changed my nightbreakers once. I've also tried the Philips ones and these beat them hands down for light output and visibility. Definitely recommend, worth the tenner. I've paid £20+ in the past.
Thank you
Checked on the 1st site mentioned and it says mine are HB3 but the link you gave said HB7...WHAT GOES ON?
I have a Volvo S60 D5 2.4 Turbo Diesel 2003 model...really confused now.
I thought the hid conversion kits were illegal:

Light output from these is excellent compared to normal bulbs and no adverse effect on head light or wiring.
HID require your car to have projector headlights and a headlight washer system with automatic leveling, else you will dazzle other drivers and doubt you will pass MOT as the light pattern will be scattered.
Also if your car has a bulb warning system the cheap china kits will not work, you will need a can bus error free system starting at £50+ as well as having all the above.
I have H1 Ring Xenon Ultima's as my full beam, and H7 Osram Night Breaker Plus as my dipped beam. Think they're both a good upgrade from the stock bulbs but can't compare between the brands with them being different things.
