Ottoman storage seat ideal for Christmas guests and storage reduced to £22.45 @ Argos

This is idea for over Christmas if you have family coming over and need more chairs, and gives extra storage for kids toys. It was £30 but notice reduced. Mine is sturdy and larger than I expected. Had to collect mine but might just be my argos.
Available in lots of other colours and smaller versions available at 14.99.

Bring some storage space to your lounge with this large cream ottoman with stitching detail. The subtle, unobtrusive design allows you to store away items in plain sight, without the obstruction of traditional storage units, ideal for children's toys.

You're welcome, this site saved me a lot of money with Xmas so glad to return favour

Thanks op

They advertise as not for sitting on but they are very sturdy and can take a fair bit of weight

Great offer, but these are £14.99 in B&M stores

Bought one of these a couple of years back, they suggest you don't use it as seating as it folds. Still quite strong though.

Oops! I didn't know that, they are padded on top and yes sturdy, so assumed they were. Thanks for heads up

I'm sitting on one right now, bought one when it was on offer last time with a free mini one. Sturdy and practical.
EDIT This was the last offer that got scorchio

Cheap n Nasty.... Bought one in the past from Argos when they included the free small one and I was in shock at the quality and returned it the following working day.

It seemed that the allot of the guys from HUKD who also bought them had better success with the darker one of the two, so if you're going to risk buying one i would suggest you buy the dark one, that way the poor stitching and build quality wont be so apparent.

I was tempted but i know argos furniture doesnt win any awards. Looks like this is no exception...

I bought these with the free small mini one and am pleased with the quality altho I have had many painful bruises - the corners are vicious.

Does it not say how many guests you can fit inside it?

I got one of these last year and found that I could only fit one small Christmas Guest in it. Cold!

Not sure what you expect for this price, an antique from the Empire? I have two of the smaller ones and they're fine.

Bought one of these last week, had to spend the £10 off voucher from a previous purchase. Very please with it, looks good under our stairs, full of the mrs's shoes.

Bought the extra large version recently and am very pleased with it. Perfect for hiding all the kids toys in. Hot!!

banned seller-do not post links for this merchant thanks

Not sure my relatives would fit in this!

Had one like this, albeit a smaller one and not from Argos, but did the same sort of thing.
Cost around £50 and a friend bought it for me as a 'house warming' gift.

Was great at first, but after a couple of months of sitting on it, it broke whilst I was sitting on it!
So now we just use it as a storage box.

Firstly just because you get something cheap or at a discount it doesn't necessarily mean you should automatically assume it should be poor quality or rubbish. I've picked up cheap and cheerful t-shirts on deals found on HUKD which have been better quality and outlived ones that I've purchased in River Island.

Im pretty sure lots of us on here have some cheap stuff that has at times been better quality and longer lasting too.

I've also purchased cheap unbranded USB memory sticks that have out lived and out performed equal sized branded ones.

And lets not overlook some of the cheap tablets that have sold on here with higher spec, excellent build quality, better screens for a third of the price of some of the higher end branded ones.

Anyway, my Ottoman arrived perfectly boxed in 'rubbish condition', with terrible stitching, and with stains on it; it was flimsy and the fake suede was baggy.

Have you ever seen the film Falling Down? Great Film!

When companies advertise something looking one way and then deliver it another, that's what winds me up!

We had one of these...great for stage and nice box. we did use it for setting a it, but after a while it did become worn....the side lips have wood inside them and it eventually splits down the joints. Other point, don't let the kids use the lid as a slide

People must be joking about sitting on these because the 2 I have wouldn't support the dog.
