Seems a very good price for superking mattress, bed and two pillows. I messaged them and they upgraded the pillows to their adjustable pillows for free.

Interest free credit available for 12 months too.

Reviews suggest is at the firmer end of the mattress in a box spectrum. However, reviews seem positive:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Expert Reviews (comparison)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Real Homes

Please note superking is on back order until the end of the month, other sizes are available sooner. Mattress has a 100 day trial, bed 30 days, pillows 14 days.

Hope this helps someone and be great to hear from anyone whom has an Otty mattress since I’ve just purchased the deal!

Why are you being so defensive.
Just for your info.
I have a superking Otty. I also have a king, a double and 2 singles. I have otty pillows. Can't knock the otty range. This bed looks flimsy.

I purchased a superking solid oak bed for £120 reduced from £800 a nice 85% reduction. So... I think I should be wishing you luck

Stick that in your pipe.

No matter how good this is, I wouldn't pay £1k for a bed setup.

The frame looks nothing more than a bed frame from eBay. This is utterly overinflated.

If I was going to pay a grand it wouldn’t look like that !!

Fair enough - each to their own.

I was looking at spending a hell of a lot more than £1000 on a bed/mattress combo as I can afford it and I put a high value on good quality sleep. Online reviews seem to suggest this is a good quality/value option. If it isn’t, their return policy seems excellent.

I’m not intending to defend the deal - I posted it to help others. However, it really grinds my gears when comments such as yours criticise the total cost of an item. That’s irrelevant, a Ferrari will always cost more than a Ford. Just because you can’t/won’t afford it doesn’t make it a bad deal. Quality costs money.

I don’t know whether this is a Ferrari or a Ford, but if it’s the latter I’ll send it back.
Their mattress is worth the £. Not sure about the bed. Looks very basic to me

It’s £250 more than buying the mattress/pillows alone. Also has additional legs to support the middle of the bed. Seems reasonable quality for the money to me...

Looks like quite a flimsy frame. I'd rather purchase a good quality oak bed for example.

I mean, I could happily afford this but would I buy it? No way. I spent £250 - £300 for the bed I have currently with a matress and headboard. Is it cheap? Yes. Is it comfy and supportive of me? Yes. Just because it's £1k doesn't mean "quality" and if you believe that then you need to open your mind.

The frame looks cheap and something you could easily get for around £100.

The fact is, there are far cheaper beds for sale that offer equal quality - you don't have to spend this nor be snobbish to cheaper options - a Ford is far more than a suitable car to own.
I recommend trying a trial of their mattress first.

Super king size is definitely soft, to me, but it’s the only branded I’ve tried out of all the other similar types around now.
Ford in a Ferrari body
I tried a Simba and sent it back as it was too hard. I now have an Otty double size mattress and it's fine. However it is just under 2 years old and when you sit on my husband's side it feels much softer than when you sit on my side (he's 4 stone heavier than me). I paid £449 for it and it included 2 pillows. I had previously tried a £180 mattress from Ikea but had to return that as it was too firm, tried their medium and it was still too firm so ended up giving it away to BHF charity shop.

Not sure how you can tell the bed looks flimsy. Description suggests it’s solid wood, reinforced by metal, slats are sprung and the fabric is a wool blend. Sounds decent to me for the money.

I tested a Vispring divan and mattress which was amazing but cost over £10k. Looked identical to an Argos jobby but miles more comfortable. You may not like design but you can’t ‘see’ that it looks flimsy...

Well done on the bed though. I got a £500 sage coffee machine for £100 ex display once. Doesn’t mean that I think every other coffee machine deal I see is terrible value though...

Course it doesn’t mean it’s quality based on the price. However it is feasible that it will offer a better quality product than your divan set-up.

My point is that it isn’t automatically a bad deal because it costs more than something cheaper. I drove Fords for a long time, I now drive a Volvo. My XC90 was over three times the price of my last Ford but is way more than three times the car IMHO. Got a great deal on it too. Sure, I could have got a Dacia Duster for a fifth of the price but it’s inferior in every way. Doesn’t make the Volvo a bad deal.

My Weber charcoal kettle BBQ cost £200 when I could have got something similar in Lidl for £20. Doesn’t make the Weber a bad deal as the Lidl one is of inferior quality.

My point is that often on here premium products get shouted down because a cheaper alternative exists, even though it’s of poorer quality.

The fact you wouldn’t spend £1000 on a bed doesn’t mean that those who want to spend that much shouldn’t be able to find the best deal they can at that price point.

If you don’t think a bed is ever worth that money then cool. However don’t stop those whom want to spend that much from finding a good deal by voting all premium products cold.

Maybe. Hence why their returns policy was important to me.
Could try IKEA beds if OTTY isn’t your cup of tea

OP. You're just extra.
Accept its not a great deal.
Evidently others agree with me.

Meh. I’m not trying to argue that it’s a good deal. It might not be, no idea until I receive the actual bed.

However to say it’s a bad deal because you’d rather buy an oak bed or because it ‘looks’ flimsy is farcical. It looks like hundreds of other beds that cost anywhere between £100-£2000+. The cost difference is due to the materials and build quality. The materials seem good from description, as for build quality - we’ll see.
