sounds great. Gearbest again! yes, cheap but not always reliable, or truthful. my phone as a prime example of Gear bests bxxlshxt. hot for the price; not for the company. sorry fella.
Any feedback welcome, please share experience of oukitel or gearbest.
Good and bad.
Been watching a lot of youtube videos and all looks pretty good.
and the Oukitell premium would be nice but doesn't seem to exist anywhere to buy.
the Chinese website for Oukitell is a dud, their F.b page tries to link you up with no success. If these Chinese companies would try harder we would all be buying their phones! shame.
Oukitel.com works great
Been researching their products on their website and their youtube channel etc, I'm pretty impressed.
So alex what's wrong with gearbest? I've not bought from them before and would like honest feedback from customers

seems like i am not the only one who thins this has to be the worst company to deal with!
Good spec is only half the story with Chinese phones, I frequently vote xiaomi phones hot as the Rom they use, miui, is excellent and, if not "improved" by unscrupulous vendors, not full of bloat or worse.
Not sure what rom options some of the other brands offer.

I'll give a nod tho that this has full 4g something that thus far no xiaomi has provided.

I am guessing that the minor price difference is currency fluctuation - tempted to hit the spam button. Only thing holding me back is the (relatively) large difference - 50p yes, over £2 hmm.

EDIT: have voted cold - tomtop.com (seems well rated on Google & I think I have used them a fair bit on eBay) have it for $140 ($6 less) if you have a good foreign spending CC. I would recommend buying something for about $5 so that the total is £100 - section 75 protection.

Not at all. Should not be allowed on HUKD. I'd better be quiet or I'll be suspended again

Gear Best. No warranty, fake custom declaration and very poor CS.

What about the great tracking - does not exist for a week (parcel in China), tells you very little for 2 weeks (parcel in container to NL) & finally tells you not much more for another week (parcel en route from NL - same as BG, DX, etc.). All times may double if you are unlucky. So if the release/stock date slips (as with the F5 6 months ago), you should have it within 6 months!

That said, looks like a good phone & does have all 3 UK 4G bands. If I could have it within 4 weeks I may be tempted.

Got a paypal claim against them just today, for the Oukitel k10000 (EU warehouse). Sent a bogus tracking number and numerous delays ... no phone and no valid tracking number. (edit: this was gearbest, I am talking about)

Possibly pointless spending the extra 5USD as section 75 applies to "...single value of the one item is between £100 to £30,000..."

And the returns!
Mediatek processor clocked at 1.3Ghz for over £100. No thanks. The risk/reward is not worth it here.

I did not know that. That said, reading up on this, while likely correct, the bill vs single item question is untested in court. Probably better to buy as close to but just over £100. Bit of a quandary when having to factor exchange rates.

I generally write it off if a return is needed to HK as I hear it costs a fortune.

If you were on the market for a phone sub 120, with the priorities being reasonable processor (nothing more than Candy Crush or Kodi), reasonable camera, screen size (bigger being better up to 5.5 or 6"), micro SD slot, battery life & removable battery, what would you go for?

Royal Mail tracked, not just a signature, is around £60.

Yep - dad has that - been keeping an eye on it for it coming under £100 again. Also saw a Y6 dual sim (which also gets 2GB RAM upgrade) for just over £80. Dual SIM nice, but not high on list.
