Yes comes with a cover, I've had one for I think 3-4 years. It's a good BBQ for the price.
Looks good but not much detail in the description... Does it have a griddle area? It doesn't say if comes with a cover. And are there lava rocks included?

This is a different model - be aware that this one doesn’t have a flat grilling surface and is quite different at the front.

I’ve never owned a BBQ before myself, so wonder what’s the advantage this one has over, say the 6 burner that is on there too?

6 burner

Is it simply aesthetics as this on looks cooler yet has less burners? (For clarity, I’m thinking of buying this one because it looks cooler haha)
is this an old model or made specially for homebase/argos., i cant find much info, most searches give the apollo meteor in the results

That is a different make for a start.

You get what you pay for with bbq's. Stick with Weber.

Homebase is owned by Australians so they got rid of Weber for Australian brands. Probably linked with them or owned by them.

Weber is American and widely accepted as being the best commercially made BBQ.

Gas is easier but I prefer charcoal. You can smoke with charcoal. Making pulled pork takes 8-12 hours in a BBQ. Most folk just make burgers and sausages but true bbq'ing takes a lot of time and skill

Homebase is no longer owned by the Aussies, probably flogging stuff off the new owners don’t want to keep.
Just to note it doesn't come with a cover, I picked one of these up yesterday, built it this morning. Fairly straight forward to assemble.
Got this a couple of weeks ago for £250, then the cover off outback for £31. Great bbq, solid, easy to build and clean!

Is 2018 model if anyone needs to know and I think you can replace one of the grill areas for a griddle through the outback parts website.
you can get the basket for the lava rocks its £26 though
I bought one of these yesterday. Looks great when built. It's very good quality. Worth noting that the box is quite large and very heavy, being over 60kg. The unit is on casters so fairly easy to move around when finally built. Overall for £200 I am very happy with it.

Yes it is made for Homebase, i got a similar one (same as video above) but with cast iron griddle last year for £80 and the instructions are homebase ones not Outback and say Produced for Homebase on the back cover

Very well made BTW
Be aware that outback bbqs are food while they work but are notorius for rusting rapidly. My dad gave me his two year old one and I had to buy a new burner for £31, it works great now but the metal on the burner is like paper so can see why it was needed. This isn’t anecdotal to me, of you google it it’s very common
Grabbed one today, still showing as £250 in store and the sales assistant kept saying how she couldn’t believe the price for it at £199. Homebase also have some offers on covers and other BBQ items (utensils and such like).
I want to get one but will need to drive 15 miles as local ones don't have any in stock.
Ive had mine about 4 years and it’s amazing. We bbq roughly 4-5 days a week so it’s had a good life. It doesn’t come with a cover and you don’t need lava rocks as it has heat plates.
Will need to replace mine next year but that’s more to a pizza on the bbq inferno incident 😳

Picked one of these up yesterday and it’s a great job. Easy to set up (my 9yr old and I completed it in 90 minutes) and great to cook on.

Homebase also have a range of bbq accessories heavily reduced (eg Matador tong and spatula set for £10). I’m picking up a wood chip smoke box tomorrow

Looked at these instore and probably the nicest BBQ they had. Is there no way of putting the gas cylinder in the cabinet?

You will get a small 5kg bottle in there and the bigger 13kg ones in there on it’s side.

Obviously for storage only.

Ta, more specifically the gas BBQ I have has a smaller bottle but is used on the trolley. Trying to use it like this again. Looks a bit daft on the side for a BBQ of this price.
Nice saving, I grabbed the Weber Mastertouch when that was on offer in the spring but now also fancy a good gas BBQ
Finally got my reserved to collect tomorrow.

Just had a good look at one - gas pipes wont extend to cabinet so unless these are replaced cylinder has go on floor.

there is also a warning on the BBQ NOT to put the gas bottle in the cabinet
There is no reason to put it inside? It's not safe to use it while stored in there.
Thanks OP, just managed to grab one from my local store for £124. Can’t argue with that! Got 20% off as was ex display, then I noticed it had the warming shelf missing, so they knocked the cost of this off (£36 delivered from Outback). I’ll not use the warming shelf anyway!
This shouldn’t be expired as there are still some available in store
