Has anybody else ever had that dream, where you're stuck somewhere remote like Suffolk (or worse case scenario, Hull) with no means of flame?

I have and it's awful.

This is awesome for those of us who like to camp, hike, hunt or enjoy a spot of fishing (I partake in none of those activities).

Might be off note or might be related but stop smoking and live a happier life. I know this can be used for other means and for that I'll give you a tiny flame. X)

Ironically, even though the main image could have been chosen more wisely. You will actually find this is more a method of survival if used correctly, mix.

One should not forsee the negatives so quickly, when sat on a river bank fishing, in a woods camping or up a mountain hiking. You may just find that one of these genius £1.63 products may one day save your life. (_;)

As far as it's not being used to take life but save life, I'm whole heartedly with you, Buzz.

No you will be ok because you will stay part of the EU and can take trip to Spain.

Here's the UK version:

Plus, you also need a small island with a solar array. We could probably use Ireland for that

Haven't applied heat, as apparently you can generate your own.

For survival I presume you're talking about lighting a fire to cook the after a long day hunting......oh **** I've spent so long fishing the sun has gone down

Good for torturing wasps with a bit of bait!

Yeah, I'm sure they'd rather have this than a box of matches or a lighter.

Really useful when the sun has gone down and you want to light that campfire.

Lol

In years of scouting I've seen one of these work successfully only once in the UK, on a clear summer's day, during a heatwave. Two dry sticks would be more useful. A fire steel would be a much better gift.
