go in mothercare look the prices of these? this is amazing value

Good find There doesn't seem to be much info out there on this product, but the Kiddicare website has prduct breakdown of a very similar looking Nomad Kids carrier, with a few reviews.

Doesn't come with a rain/sun canopy which is a shame, but you pays yer money at the end of the day!

Does anyone have an idea on age/weight of these?

Also is it a front facing one - like this?

This would be useful

I have something similar... children can be surprisingly heavy after 30-40 mins on your back - especially if you have to slope them back a bit so they're more comfortable.

I personally found it easier just to put a normal rucksack on for whatever I needed to carry in my arms, and carry the child.

Yes it is.

I have one of these and they are of very good quality and very well padded making them very comfortable and supportive to use. It has a zipped compartment to carry a few minor items and a metal stand that pulls out enabling it to stand upright unaided.
I also paid a fair bit more than this, at this price I personally think it is a bargain!

Pretty much the same question I was going to ask, I've a friend with a little girl who is about to turn one year old and I've been thinking one of these carriers would be good for her. Another friend found the front mounted carriers get a bit hard going as the baby's approach one year and were going to change to a rear mounted carrier.

Yes it would be fine, they are suitable from when your child can sit unaided up to 15kg. I will post the product description below.

Nomad Kids Carrier Handy in shops, at the market, during multi-terrain walks, music festivals or other busy events or just to have in the back of you car for unexpected trips. Easy Trek Comfort carrying system can easily be adjusted to your back length 40-60cm. Ergonomical hip-belt has padding for extra comfort. Fully padded seat may be adjusted to suit your childs height. High back for extra protection of babys neck, back and head. Extra large, fully zipped compartment for indispensable items. Complete with travel bag. Suitable from when your baby can sit unaided up to a maximum weight of 15kg. Dimensions 76 x 35 x 37 cm approx. Weight 2500G

These can be a real pain in the back (quite literally) after a while. Tried a few, but the best ones are the ones that convert from a rucksack to a buggy/ pushchair too. We bought one and it was excellent. Lightweight but sturdy. We used it when travelling to the USA and was great in the airport. All the way up to the entrance of the plane (they then put it in the hold and its the first thing back off when you arrive), and then through the airport, plus on the holiday and back again. Tie a bright tag on though so you can see it easily in the airport. Great for days out especially if you need to go "off road"/ hike i.e. not suitable for a buggy, then when you find a flat area again you can set the buggy up and give your back a rest. Ours came with a rain canopy and sun visor too. The buggy survived 3 children growing up. A well know auction site is a good place to start as shop prices can be expensive.

i think the clue with these is theyre good if you use them as soon as you can, and regularly. If you are the kind of person who isnt very physical, yes you may get back ache! these are aimed at people who will prefer them to a pushchair..some people find them invaluable. It depends on your lifestyle. Chances are if you buy it for one holiday and have never used it before it wont be the best idea. I have known people who love these and ive seen many people using them quite happily.
When i was younger i went backpacking and my backpack was a lot heavier than a 1yr old child! after a few days i forgot i was carrying it. Im sure it will be similar with this. I think its a good quality one for a cheap price, and would prob sell more 2nd hand after!

OOS

Thanks OP, managed to get one.

out of stock

Just received an email that they have now ran out and will be refunding me. Seems a bit naughty that they were quick to take payment even though the stock allocation had run dry...

I've just asked them why the took the money put will before it was stated as out of stock - I'm also wondering why it's taken them this long to come to the conclusion that they are out of stock! Not happy

Me too, got same e-mail, really disappointed, won't get at this price again
