Yes bear lake xl 6 man with footprint and carpet

Great - what price is it?

Just reading up on it it's outtex 3000mm polyester, not sure if this is the same as the awesome polycotton ones which i thought it was. They would be cheap at this price. If anyone knows the difference?

£399

Shame. Although I wasn't aware of outwell doing a bear lake 6 that wasn't a polycotton. It could be a typo. Any chance you could load a pic of the flyer?

Sorry am crap with computers but it looks wrong colour for polycotton shame

It's on the go- outdoors website although currently showing as 499. It's the poor mans bear lake 6 and as you said is the non poly cotton version. It's a new addition to their line as it wasn't on their website this morning. Also the 2012 polycotton bear lake that was on their web site has now been removed. Shame coz it was 799 and I almost bought it.

It seems its a smaller version too.

Hey guys

Just ready your post and seems like perfect timing. I've actually just visited Go Outdoors today and have the sales leaflet in front of me. It is the Outwell Bear Lake XL. With this package you get the Bear Lake XL + Carpet + Footprint for £399.99 with a discount card. I've done some digging on the internet and can't find this model anywhere. That is until I stumbled across the Outwell Amarillo 6 Tent (http://www.outdoormegastore.co.uk/outwell-amarillo-6-tent.html). The image here looks to be identical to that, that is in the Go Outdoors leaflet. I think perhaps Outwell have given exclusivity to Go Outdoors to sell these 2012 models and have asked to rename them to the Bear Lake XL.

Maybe i've got it wrong but seems to be too much of a coincidence. Hope this has helped someone!

Be careful with this deal....it is a con (although still a cheap tent for the money) as are many deals at Go Outdoors. This model is nothing like the Bear Lake range which is a premium Outwell range. It is a MASSIVELY cut down version which is made of Outwells worst quality polyester fabric (the bear lake range normally has polyester/cotton, much better but more expensive) and this does not have the quality of poles either (normally alloy). Shape is also different and look much less wind resistant. Much cheaper and weaker construction altogether. I am disappointed that Outwell have cheapened such a good brand by doing this. Thought I had found a bargain here but this is absolutely rubbish quality for an Outwell.

Cant understand some of the comments here, this tent cant be compared to the polycotton versionas it is a quarter of the price. The bear lake xl itself is a cracking tent well worth the £400 on its own but this comes with carpet, footprint & windbreak.
So the haters who have bought substandard tents for more ££££££££ keep hating outwell.:D
