hi we were in there today and asked them to price match this tent as we had seen it online for £250 they agreed to take it down by another 10% to £225 but after a long chat with a man that turned out to be the manager he said id wait till monday as it will be in the flyer as a special offer at £200, we decided to wait. we feel this is a good price for a decent tent any opinions will be welcome as this will be our first family tent purchase. its just me my husband and our 3 year old, thank you

It averages 7.7/10 from 17 reviews on ukcampsite: ukcampsite.co.uk/ten…515. You get a really good idea of + and - points from these reviews.

Outwell is an excellent tent maker - I have an Indiana 8 which is higher spec than Oakland - 5000mm waterproofing (hydrostatic head) compared to Oakland's 3000mm ... but 3000 will be enough for all but the worst case scenario storms.

It looks like a good tent. Certainly very good for your family size. £200 is quite a lot of money but you're getting a decent tent with a good kitchen/dining room/porch type area. If money is an issue it might be worth looking for a tent with two rooms but with a smaller porch area.

cold sorry got 6 berth colemans coastline 6 delux for £150 from blacks not as good hydro but good enough for our summer showers

Outwell is a quality brand - but KingCampo has listed all the points I was going to make. I'm also a fan of Vango.

Re Bombermills - some of the Coleman tents do see a little disappointing as I always thought they were another great brand (did production location shift/someone by the company)

I have just posted this deal after looking at how much mine can be bought for. I highly recommend it.

You may want to consider the 6-man Outwell Carolina L - available for just over £200 e.g. £214.99 delivered from Springfield Camping: springfield-camping.co.uk/Out…/pc

hi i have seen the Coleman Evanston 6 for £170 anyone know if its good, thanks

The biggest issue with the Coleman Evanston 6 is that it uses fibreglass poles - for a high performance family tent you would expect aluminium poles. Decent waterproofing @ 4000mm. "Outdoor lounge area" is a gimmick though - pointless - you either need a bigger indoor living area or take a gazebo.

hi i have been looking at the KHYAM QUEBEC 8 a little more than i wanted to pay but seems to be the quality and the layout we wanted, (room to take the grandparents to baby sit too always a plus)

The KHYAM QUEBEC 8 is an excellent tent - I nearly bought it when i bought the Outwell Indiana 8. Same high performance specs but quite different layouts.
