Sill wondering why people vote it cold?

"Unsure if posted before but cannot find when searching" You have read all of my post, right? I did search but nothing came up, perhaps it had been deleted if posted before, I don't know... Still wondering why you don't get invited to parties?

Have you tried searching Project Gutenberg in the search box you're such a fan of? Is it the lack of Asimov books that got you on the offensive? Anyway, thanks for being so helpful. It's user like you and their helpful contributions that make this such a wonderful community.

But you don't get invited out much do you.

I had no idea this site existed, so a BIG thank to you op.
This has enabled me to find a book written by a relative of mine in the 1800’s I have had no luck finding anywhere.
Kudos

I think the repost was worth it for this alone, don't you? If a new user to the site has never heard of PG and has yet to spot the omniscient search bar and entered "free ebooks" how are they to know? Other free services are regulatory reposted here, for people that may not know about it or the fact its a good service and it's free. Like the free water refills.

Have fun sending the lengthy complaint email regarding HotUKs egregious error with desktop and app searches producing different results.

Wowsers, that’s a great tip!

It’s ‘Across Patagonia’ by Lady Florence Dixie.
It’s her account of her time exploring the area in the late 1800’s.
Awesome! Thank you so much. I had never heard of this site before. Have some heat!

Always a favourite for me - pretty much any book you've heard of which is out of copyright is up there including;
Ulysses by James Joyce
The Foundations of the Origin of Species by Charles Darwin
Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica by Isaac Newton (OK, it's in the original Latin!)
Moby Dick; Or, The Whale by Herman Melville
War and Peace by graf Leo Tolstoy
The Iliad by Homer
Jane Eyre: An Autobiography by Charlotte Brontë
Frankenstein; Or, The Modern Prometheus by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley

In fact all the titles as a student you'd want to leave lying round the flat to impress a potential partner!

- yes, I've downloaded a few, I have to confess I've still not got round to reading the majority of them, but at least they don't take up shelf space!

If you know your stuff, you can email the PDF versions to your kindle, or get your device of choice to do an "accessibility" speech from text and listen on the move.

Why this isn't better known as a resource is beyond me, well, actually, I do know; there are vast commercial interests which offer these at 99p a poop and don't really care to mention they're free from elsewhere!
