Description

Overcooked is a chaotic couch co-op cooking game for one to four players. Working as a team, you and your fellow chefs must prepare, cook and serve up a variety of tasty orders before the baying customers storm out in a huff. Sharpen your knives and dust off your chef’s whites, there isn’t mushroom for error and the steaks are high in these crazy kitchens!

The Onion Kingdom is in danger and only the finest cooking can save it! In Overcooked players must journey through a variety of cruel and unusual kitchens on their quest to become master chefs capable of conquering an ancient edible evil which plagues the land.

Play solo or engage in classic, chaotic couch co-op for up to four players in both co-operative and competitive challenge modes. You’ll have to cook a range of different dishes and work together in order to become the most effective and ultimate team!

A CULINARY QUEST
The Onion Kingdom is a rich world full of cruel and unusual kitchens for you to conquer. Take part in an epic journey and tackle an increasingly challenging and bizarre gauntlet of kitchens which will push your skills of co-operation and co-ordination to the very limits. Each level brings a new challenge for you and your team to overcome, whether it's sliding around on a pirate ship, moving between speeding trucks, cooking on an ice floe or serving food in the bowels of a fiery underworld, each level will test the mettle of even the bravest chefs.

SIMPLE CONTROLS/DEEP CHALLENGE
Overcooked is so easy to pick up that anyone can join in the fun, but finding a team who can communicate and co-ordinate their actions when the pizza hits the fan, that's when only a well-oiled team of super-chefs will come out on top!

DIFFERENT WAYS TO PLAY
Whether indulging in deep fried local co-op or sautéed single player, as you play through the game you'll unlock new levels, new chef characters and even competitive challenge levels which allow teams of two to engage in hard boiled head-to-head in the kitchen.

However you want to play, if you think you can stand the heat, then get ready to enter the kitchen!

This game has ruined my friendships and love life on multiple occasions. 10/10

another one that was on playstation plus recently

Nothing to complain about really, definitely considering PS+ is a paid services whereas this is simply "heres a game forever for nothing, and theres another one coming every week of the year", and it's on a different platform. I don't think anyone has had better game deals and freebies than Epic in the past month even if the selection is limited atm. I know they're just trying to drum up customers but I don't care because it doesn't change the deals i get from them.
If you dont want to fallout with your family but want to experience this type of game play the second one, less stressful and easier
The first turned me into Gordon Ramsay, I made an Idiot sandwich, threw people out of my kitchen, called them donkeys, made them apologise to my customers and banged my head against the table multiple times

Brilliant game

Totally agree with you - I haven't paid them a dime, but it hasn't stopped me from 'buying' all these freebies from them either
Good game play it with a friend (via share play) it does bring out some funny arguments thought haha.

It was also free with Games With Gold. Good for those who want to play on PC and/or don't want to pay for a PS Plus/Xbox Live Gold membership though.

If you get it between the 4-11 July - you keep it forever for free
Thanks
Does this work with Steam?
I love this game but hate cooking
Great game, it's actually more difficult than the second one I'd say.. the fact you can't throw the items at all makes it alot more difficult.

All excited toplay this from today with some mates.. only to find that it's not an online multiplayer game!! Its 2019!? How backwards
Good game, but bad launcher. I'll wait until epic fixes their shit, but I'll still claim the game

I claimed the game, but then booted back to Linux (with the Windows partition mounted containing the game), ran the Linux Steam client and added Undercooked to my Steam library (a bit fiddly to do so - esp. as it looks for .desktop files rather than .exe's by default and truncates the path at a space - duh!). Once I'd marked it to use the latest Proton version, I could run Overcooked just by pressing the "Play" button in the Linux Steam client. It ran fine using Proton too.

Double whammy then - avoided the Epic launcher to run it and even avoided Windoews to launch it too :-)

Last few hours left fellas - if anyone still hasn't got this and would like to download it - go for it
heat from me
If you fancy breaking up with your partner and don't have the guts to do it I definitely recommend playing this game with them! I played with my wife for 20mins and am still stressed about it hours later!
Ahem...frig the epic game store
Doesn't appear to be free any more even though it's the 11th still... I already have a copy of Torchlight which seems to have replaced it. Bummer.
