Overnight stay at the 4* Park Regis hotel centrally located in Birmingham on Broad street and 5 minutes away from Brindley Place, and gets good reviews. The hotel stay includes a deluxe double room and daily breakfast for two people. Priced at £55.20 using code HELLO20 (new account) including Friday night stays, with availability from October to December. For existing Groupon accounts, codes change frequently but if you enter code MERRY that gives a 15% discount - thanks @valhallablue . Maybe useful if planning to do some Christmas shopping or just fancied a night away. Option to add a three course dinner for an additional £15 per person.

We stayed at this hotel and had a lovely overnight stay in Birmingham. Went shopping in the bullring, lunch in brindley place and a lovely meal at Anderson's steak house and drinks and dancing at the jam house. Hotel was lovely. Lovely clean comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast. When you have kids and get a night away while grandparents babysit you'll have a great time anywhere you go!

Birmingham has the Frankfurt Christmas Market Thursday November 7th to Monday December 23rd. It’s the biggest German market outside Germany. Would highly recommend it combined with this deal for a festive night away

Can’t wait for my holiday to Birmingham

As long as you stay in the hotel!
Nice hotel, rooms not as good as the public areas. The only problem is it is right at the top of broad Street which might be a good thing for some but if you prefer some good beer in Brum you either have to get a taxi back to to hotel or sieve through mass vomitting and fights on en route back
Hotel 4* and Destination 7*

Just don't walk out the front door and head anywhere but a taxi. Very nice places a short drive away. Some not very nice places just yards away
Parts of Birmingham are fantastic these days, broad street is not. Brindley place however is just a 5 minute walk away and the main shops are maybe 15 minutes away.

Don't worry about safety, it just gets a bit lovely on a Friday/Saturday night. Not the nicest to walk through at those times if your not bladdered yourself. However, there shouldn't be noise problems as this is right up the quiet end of broad street. Very good value in my opinion. If you need parking, Broadway plaza is best.
Thank you for this deal chanchi. Visiting family and quite close to Birmingham right now. Always wanted to have a look around (don’t laugh). May just take this offer within the next week.

Cheers

I looked at prices and even using codes on the other main travel sites such as Expedia, booking.com etc was coming up at £130+ for Friday night stays in December on the same basis. Anyway hopefully some find this deal useful .
Code MERRY for 15% off at moment
I've stayed at this hotel when it first opened I think. Great hotel and great service.
Good deal, BUT this hotel has NO parking (free or paid) - something to bear in mind if driving
Stayed here on Tuesday, sh!t hole area. Parked in the car park thats is across the street, looked liked someone had been murdered in there blood up the wall and smeared hands prints. Ventured out in the eve and got accosted immediately by someone trying to semi mug me ( he wasn’t fully committed). Hotel is nice enough, very average room. Just take something to defend yourself with if you go out the door.

It’s across the walk way link, it was free for me (put your number plate in on arrival). I wouldnt recommend it though. Full of blood, Feaces and homeless, drug users. Saw a guy walking around with his backside exposed as I left around 4.30. Not a safe place for kids or ladies in my opinion. I’m 6”1 not slim and been practicing Muay Thai, kick boxing and boxing for years and I was a bit on edge.
Sadly I live in Birmingham, although this Hotel is good . The whole of broad street and most of the city centre is a horrible building site . Stay clear.
At the rear of this hotel is Tennant Street which is an absolute cess pit/hell on earth. Vehicle crime is rife, especially in the Euro car park next to this hotel and the further along open air car parks. This is mostly down to the number of hostels in the area. Getting mugged here is very common. You get groups of young Somali lads who walk up from Sparkbrook and spend the whole night prowling looking for drunk people to attack.

At the front of the hotel is Five Ways roundabout. Again full of homeless people, drug addicts and people looking to rob you. Drunk people vomitting on Broad St is the least of your worries to be honest.

If you REALLY have to stay in Birmingham stay in Brindley Place itself as security are switched on and the main car park there is pretty safe.

Just booked for the xmas markets thanks OP
will be getting a train so no parking needed.was in this area last week at a concert so know the area.
I regularly walk from Birmingham City Centre to Edgbaston train station and walk past this hotel. Its at the very top end of Broad Street, so if you are a party animal, you are in the right area. You can walk in a few mins to many eateries, concert venues and Birmingham Hippodrome. Its a lovely hotel. Id recommend it. It was only built a few years ago. Great base for shopping in Brum. Its a bit too far to walk with loads of shopping bags but there are plenty of buses, taxis and ubers to get you there in 5 mins.

Have a great time.

This guy is spot on, broad st has gone down the pan its full of homeless people and druggies it really scares people with families who are thinking of walking down this road on an evening not enough police about as well. Other than that birmingham central is very very close and the surrounding area has lots to do including the broadway plaza, brindley place and the canals.
Just finished a year working in that part of Birmingham - Park Regis was my favourite go-to hotel, outstanding value for money compared to others a 5 minute walk away like Jurys Inn and Hampton and a step up in quality.

Small gym gets busy, excellent breakfast
FYI for parking I used The Mailbox - bit pricey and a 8 min walk, but lovely car park.

I was once working away in Atherstone, which was a bit of a one horse town without the horse. To treat the missus I booked a hotel in Brum, imagining it would be same as anywhere Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds. Drove round there checking out the centre before deciding where to park on a Thursday night. My gosh, it was the dodgiest looking city I have ever been to, I literally didn't want to walk anywhere, full of wanna be gangsters and the like. Everything I hear about the place makes me want to avoid being anywhere near. Coventry Centre was a bit primitive but not in the same league.

I could say the same about Covent Garden and many London areas plus and city centre in England nowadays. It's not right to make out it's just Birmingham that has these problems.
